This historic and spacious house is the last on a tranquil cul-de-sac, which overlooks the rainforest, making it an ideal location for birders and lovers of nature. This house has a centric location in the township of Gamboa; it is a seven-minute walk away from the only convenience store and only a 2km walk away from the entrance of Pipeline Road! Built by the US Corp of Engineers, the house's design optimizes large screened windows and huge overhanging eves to create cool cross ventilation breezes; these architectural elements keep the house at a cool temperature without the need of A/C. This beautiful house stands on stilts--a common feature of tropical architecture. This elevated nature has several effects: decreases humidity, increases airflow, and decreases noxious bugs like mosquitoes. This house is embedded in nature, so you will encounter it in all of its glory, which includes insects that may make it into the house! Our house has three spacious bed rooms and two bathrooms. The living room has ample space to relax and spread out in; it has thirteen screened windows that allow for great airflow and have views of the tropical rainforest. Seeing as food options in Gamboa are very limited, the kitchen is well equipped with different cooking appliances.
