Welcome to Excalibur Lake Lodge in the Berkshires. This beautiful lakefront contemporary Lindal Cedar custom home, with architecture that intentionally focuses on the peaceful lake view, has been designed for your comfort and relaxation. Explore the Berkshires year round and see what the area has to offer: from skiing in the winter, to Tanglewood and Jacob’s Pillow in the summer and leaf peeping in the fall. Or just enjoy the tranquility of our lakefront lodge for a rejuvenating weekend away. The space The lodge is the perfect place to enjoy nature. Relax in our great room with cathedral ceilings and sweeping windows as you watch the wildlife and take in the serene lake. Step outside into the forest on our raised deck while lounging and enjoying the sounds of frogs in the morning with a cup of coffee. Enjoy an al fresco lunch overlooking the trees and water or take a stroll onto our dock and enjoy endless water fun with the family. Get cozy by the fire pit in the evenings, roasting marshmallows and having hot cocoa. In the Summer, head over to many of the arts festivals that the Berkshires has to offer. Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Tanglewood Music Festival, Shakespeare & Company are just a few main events. There are numerous nearby estates and museums that are very worth a visit. In the Fall, nothing is more beautiful than the turning of the leaves. Glorious colors abound throughout the Berkshires, and there are ample trails and paths to trek and take in the changing leaves. From the lodge, it is the most gorgeous time of the year to see the bright red of the leaves mirrored in the lake. In the Winter, come ski in the Berkshires! Otis Ridge, our local mountain is the perfect learning mountain for little ones. Wonderful instructors and group classes for kids makes skiing a blast and easy parking is a huge perk. For more winter fun, head over to Butternut in Great Barrington for a bigger ski resort and an excellent tubing hill as well! In the Spring, celebrate the return of flora at The Daffodil and Tulip Festival at Naumkeag. Enjoy walks at Edith Wharton’s estate, The Mount and treat yourself to a lovely meal at one of many delicious restaurants nearby. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and property. Unfortunately, we can not accommodate parties or events. Please note that use of the lake or any amenities are at your own risk. The house consists of 3 sleeping areas. 2 rooms have king beds, one is lofted and a loft space upstairs has a twin trundle. We have additional air mattresses if needed, please feel free to ask. ***Our dock on the lake will be removed for the winter at the end of October. *** Starting in mid- June we will have an additional bedroom with en-suite and an additional tv/game room. Other things to note Please familiarize yourself with the house rules and read the house manual. We ask all guests to sign a liability waiver for use of water sports equipment and the lake.
