Greetings & welcome to beautiful Girdwood, Alaska! This house was built with a vision for sharing our Alaska experience, serving as a launch pad to great adventures, while returning to a place of comfort and tranquility inspired by nature. The name Spruce Mysig is a homage to our local Spruce forests and the Swedish word, Mysig 'mee-sig', meaning a place of comfort and coziness. The space New home finished in 2023 with a modern nordic design focused on function and comfort. The main floor features an open concept living space with large windows to take in views of the Alyeska mountain range & ski resort. The living room features a 65" Smart TV over a Girdwood timber mantel, and media cabinet stocked with board games. Through the sliding glass door off the living room is a private deck with picnic table and lounge chairs. The fully stocked kitchen with large island counter & dining area is ready for entertaining. The dining table seats up to 8 and the counter seats an additional 4. A built-in desk with recharging station is available for your remote working needs. The bonus loft is a fun space designed for kids (or adult kids) with equally great mountain views and is stocked with games, toys, books, and a 40" Smart TV. Our heated 2-car garage is a great space for storing all your adventuring gear to include wall mounted ski/snowboard racks, boot & mitten/glove driers, and gear shelf/hangers. Bedrooms & Bathrooms: The home has three bedrooms that accommodate up to 8 guests. The master bedroom is on the main floor and features a King bed, bench, reading chair, large ensuite & walk-in closet. The main floor has a second full bathroom with large walk-in shower. First floor bedrooms feature a Queen bed and two Twin-XL bunk beds respectively. The Queen bedroom features a bench, closet, & side table lamps w/USB chargers. Our bunk room was specifically designed with kids in mind, but the locally made spruce timber beds are large & sturdy enough for adult guests. Each bunk features it's own hanging shelf, reading light w/USB charger, and a center cabinet is stocked with children's books. The first floor bathroom has a tub/shower combo, and each bathroom is stocked with the following amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand/body lotion, hair dryer, cue tips, black make-up washcloths and extra towels. Guest access There is one locked pantry closet at the top of the stairs otherwise the property is yours to enjoy.
