The space House was green-certified in 2008 and owner designed/built. AAC block, low VOC paint, solar thermal panels with hot water storage and radiant heated concrete floors (yummy in the winter). South facing and very energy efficient. Heat pump for heat/AC plus on demand propane for hot water backup. No rugs, feather couch, nothing “gassing off.” Drying rack is located outside on side patio. We use non-toxic cleaning solutions. This house is regularly deep-cleaned and sanitized for your safety and comfort. There are two living rooms; one for TV separated by a 3/4 wall, and one for lounging in the sun. If you need more than one bed, a full size bed on a platform can be set up in the parlor/TV room. If you need a third bed, I can set up a twin or full air mattress and put it in the Living / Lounge room. There is a small upcharge for more than 3 guests. Guest access The entire house is yours to enjoy with your own gated entry and private area. Convenient parking for you and a guest. Owner lives on site in a refurbished Airstream Camper - this is private and entrance is accessed via a separate gate - as well as a bedroom / bathroom that I access from the outside, and is not accessible from the inside of the house. I am as available as much as you want or need me to be, otherwise I come and go like the wind so we may not even see each other! Other things to note For guests bringing pets: Animals are welcome but I do ask for a bit more information about them, and charge a $100 pet fee. This ensures that the next guest will have a deeply cleaned and sanitized house free of dog-odor. Other damage to property by your critters may be separately assessed. Please put a cover (provided if you can't bring one) over the furniture if your well behaved pet sneaks up on the couches (there are two). There is no guarantee that the existing fence will secure your animal. The fenced in area is not an exercise area - it's a place to do business and lounge in the sun next to the front door. Owner is not responsible for dogs who jump over, dig under or push over the fence and escape. All dogs must be leash-walked without exception. Neighbor dogs are present and not always contained. It is your responsibility to be a smart pet owner and keep control of your animal children without exception. There are fabulous sidewalks and a long trail at the college/library within walking distance of this house. I have my own dog and a separate fenced-in area. We are not going to mingle, but will certainly say hi! Woof!
