This sweet garden flat with (150 year old) original brick & full windows is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. The #1 bus is a 1/2 block away (10 mins to RISD & Brown U). A brief walk to Blackstone Blvd, historic Swan Point, Lippitt Park (farmers market!) & local eateries. A 15-min stroll brings you to bustling Hope St, filled with bakeries, restaurants, art and other shopping. 45 mins from Boston, but stay local & enjoy everything Lil’ Rhody has to offer! The space Comfy and cozy, enjoy cooking in our fully stocked kitchen, or just put your feet up and binge watch your favorite show on Roku! There is wall to wall carpet, a Nest thermostat, throw pillows, local art throughout and a full-sized bath….everything to make it feel homey! Things to be aware of: 1- there are 6 stone stairs at the only entrance to the apartment, and an exterior step outside door. There are also steps from the driveway to the flagstone patio, where the apartment entrance is located. 2- this is an owner-occupied property. While we share outdoor common areas, the apartment has a private entrance. We try our best to maintain every level of peace, but we are a family that lives upstairs, so there are common sounds of life! 3- while you can consume garlic in the space, we kindly request that there is NO cooking/heating/reheating of any garlic. There is a garlic allergy upstairs that is affected. 4- We have a pack-n-play which we can lend, but please be aware that we do NOT have outlet plugs, safety locks on drawers/cabinets, and there are stairs in interior hallway. 5- You can utilize the dining table, kitchen table or breakfast nook/window as a dedicated workspace. we are willing to minimally move furniture for you, with advance notice. Guest access 1-While we invite you to enjoy all outdoor spaces, weather permitting, we do ask that you do not use the front porch. 2-While we have lawns and an (often overgrown) garden, flagstone patio with dining chairs and table, hammock and some lawn chairs upon request, we ask you to please be mindful that it is a shared space, and a city space with close neighbors. Please respect quiet hours outside between 11pm and 8am. 3-smoking is only permitted outside and (provided) ashtray use is required. 4- be aware that there are very few fenced areas on our property, and some steps and uneven gravel areas. 5- we have outdoor motion lights and video/motion doorbells that CAN capture the outdoor, shared, back patio area. 6- because this is an accessory apartment in the lower level of our home, there is one interior access door that connects your space to our personal home space. This clearly marked door must remain closed and locked at all times. Opening this door will immediately set off an ear shattering, all-house alarm that might result in additional fees. Other things to note In addition to motion/video doorbells and lights, we also have electronic door locks and a full house security system. We will share Wifi upon check-in (it is also posted in the apartment). Be aware that while there is a driveway parking space available to you (and ample street parking), it is outside/uncovered and so exposed to the weather/elements. (In the case of snow, we shovel walkways and driveway, but will not clean your car). In addition, we are in the city and to prevent theft or loss, please lock all vehicle doors, and remove any valuables. Be sure to close and lock all windows and doors to the apartment when leaving.
