A carefully restored colonial villa in a large and quiet private garden full of nature near Ambalangoda. The villa sleeps up to 6 in 3 bedrooms with A/C, ensuite bathrooms and four poster beds: 2 doubles and one with 2 singles. Free wifi, filtered water and breakfast with fruits, eggs, toast and homemade jam. The chef and houseboy living in the nearby service house will be on hand to look after you and the veranda is ideal for relaxing and dining overlooking the 40 foot pool and Madampe Lake. The space You will have the exclusive use of the villa, which was built in a traditional style. It is a small walauwa or manor house with the most beautiful views over the gardens, pool and lake. The three bedrooms all have A/C and ensuite bathrooms with outdoor showers (always popular with our guests). The villa chef and houseboy will be available to look after you throughout your stay. There will be at least one member of staff sleeping overnight in the adjoining service house and we can provide a laundry service for a modest fee. The villa has a kitchen and living room, but most guests tend to prefer to order lunch or dinner from our reasonably priced menu and eat on the veranda, enjoying the sounds of the wildlife and views over the pool and lake. Guest access The entire villa, gardens and private pool will be at your disposal. The staff live separately in the adjoining service house. Other things to note This is a rural area, but only about 6 km from the nearest town of Ambalangoda. The villa gardens are simply beautiful and full of wildlife. Listen to the birds signing in the morning and spot the monkeys rustling through the trees.
