Our deluxe two-bedroom beachfront Horizonte Suite @ La Esquina Perezosa (The Lazy Corner) is the town's closest home to the ocean's edge. It offers stunning panoramic floor-to-ceiling ocean views. Enjoy endless horizon sunsets looking past Coral Island from your expansive private shaded deck. The beach house is in an authentic, colorful, friendly, and safe Mexican colonia (neighborhood). Slip away as the tranquil sounds of zen-like waves surround you each day. The space This top shelf suite is on the second floor of our beach house. You will need to access a flight of stairs to stay here. The public beach is mere steps away. It is delightful and remarkably quiet for a bustling Mexican town with no pushy vendors, no seaweed, and no undertow. The safe, sandy bottomed waters of Jaltemba Bay ranges from a temperature of 19 to 28 degrees Celsius depending on the season. As an 'open to nature' beach house, you may get the occasional visit from curious coco crabs (they are small, shy and harmless). Please escort them back to the sand so they'll return to their ocean home. As well, we enjoy the fascinating geckos that make a charming "chee-chaa!" noise (and are great guests as they eat a lot of the bugs you don't want like any mosquitos). And do enjoy the typical tropical flora and fauna. During certain times of the year we recommend insect repellent for 'no-see-um' bug bites that can sometimes occur on the public beach. Guest access This suite has one main entrance that leads in from Calle Mazatlan and a secured black main door up one flight of stairs to your amazing! top tier suite and ocean view. The entrance to the shared courtyard, plunge pool, outdoor shower and laundry facilities leads in from the second secured black door furthest from the beach. The public beach access is mere feet away for amazing ocean swimming. You are also a short drive, cab ride or bus away from many other resort beach towns (e.g. Bucerias, Chacala, Guayabitos, Sayulita, San Pancho, etc.) where you can simply stretch out in the sun or ride the lovely surf waves. So many sweet choices in this precious region of Mexico. Safe parking is available right outside the courtyard door at the end of our quiet neighbourhood street. *Do not leave valuable items in your vehicle when parked for the night. Other things to note The first and most important note is to relax, take it slow, and fully immerse yourself in this glorious ocean beach setting and all that the house and town have to offer. Please no smoking indoors or in the shared courtyard pool area. Smoking on the public beach, your rooftop deck or balcony is ok provided you are considerate to other guests. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am. The neighbours are considerate as well. Parking is available just outside the property. If that is full, just use a side street away from the oceanfront. Children and the elderly with cognitive or physical ability issues must be supervised on decks, patios, the courtyard pool or on the beach at all times. The signing of a liability waiver is required. We only accept payment through Airbnb and will not make other arrangements. Also, we do not offer discounts on the listed price. Our prices are fair market value and do change as needed over the seasons. To ensure we can continue to provide top quality accommodation, any loss from theft, unsecured gates or doors, any damage or breakage, or carelessness will be billed back to the guests (withheld from the damage deposit and additional charges if the damage or loss is greater than the deposit). We stock the house with top quality 300 plus thread count bed sheets and bath/beach towels for your comfort. Guests are asked to not eat in the beds or use bath towels on the beach. Please be aware that food, drink, makeup, etc. might stain sheets and towels. There will be an additional charge made to renters who damage high end linens and towels. Also, any infants/children that are not toilet trained should sleep on a protective bed covering. One small, well behaved pet (dog or cat) under 25 pounds is welcomed with responsible owners. Please bring your own doggy bed, and you must pick up after your pet. Pets must be taken for potty off of the property and waste removed from the property daily. In the house, pets should not be left alone unsupervised or up on the upholstery, furniture or beds. It should go without saying on Airbnb that this is a private home vacation rental. It is not a hotel or resort. We want you to have an amazing stay and we have wonderful part-time staff to help with questions and concerns. We do not provide 24-hour concierge service, laundry for your bed linens or towels, daily house cleaning (unless you arrange privately with our guest manager for intermittent cleaning), and bathroom and kitchen consumables (beyond what you receive at check in).
