My place is only boat access but walking distance to Santa Cruz Village (20 minutes walk) and public transport by boat. We offer now food on demand (we need 4 hours head up) we are plant based menus. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and digital nomads. Still, it is very quiet and in nature. Not adapted for persons that have difficulties to walk around or to climb steps and trails. I love Sunsets so I build it to share my passion with you. Very clean water to swim as well. This apartment is spacious, Grand apartment 2 has twin single beds. Grand apartment 1 has a large king bed, separate toilet with sink, shower. Small kitchen but well set up with fridge with frozen compartment, four burner stove with oven. All you need to cook for two persons. We provide oil, salt, sugar, coffee , teas. The apartment has its own private terrace to enjoy the sunset and a place to sunbath privately. Easy to get in from Panajachel and walking distance from Restaurants. Most of the visitors end up extending their stay because of the beauty and comfort. This apartment is the same as another one on the same spot so you can be attributed either this one or the other one. We have also to purchase sodas, mineral water, wine red and white, springles. The Grand Apartment is located at 96 steps from the lake level. The guests will access the waterfront with its sun chairs, our two piers, the lake, kayak double seater and 4 paddle boards, hot tub at 1700 when weather allows it. Sauna on Wednesday and Saturday. I live close to the place so I can be reach during morning or evening. Also my gardener Domingo (who is learning English) is on site every working days from 0800 to 1700 and Maria the house lady as well. Our neighborhood is very small as we are right on the shore of lake Atitlan. And next to us you have retreat center Villa Sumaya. We are 20 minutes walk from the village of Santa Cruz La Laguna. The only way to get to Atitlan Sunset Lodge is by boat. First you arrive in Panajachel and get dropped off at San Pedro pier (Tzanjuyu.) The public boats leave every 30 min.- 1 hour and cost between 25Q. Make sure to bring cash (smaller bills.) We ask that you plan to arrive here at Sunset Atitlan Lodge by 17:00. Because after the night come quick and it is not easy to reach us. The boat ride from the pier to Sunset Atitlan Lodge is 15 min. The public boats stop at 19:00 so make sure to plan your arrival accordingly. If you arrive at night checking might be not possible unless you have a private boat ordered through us who knows the apartments to help you check in. Important: our staff is here until 17:00 to greet you and help get settled in. There is minimal light and it is difficult to carry luggage if you arrive later. ***You must notify us beforehand if you will arrive later than 17:00 to coordinate. During your stay our ground keepers Domingo and Luis can help you catch a boat ride to different lake towns. The public boats pass in front of our place to take you to Panajachel and San Pedro La Laguna. You can also rent a private one if you want to cruise the lake on your own. Upon your arrival you will be asked to sign a rental contract reflecting your stay as we are not an hotel and required to have a contract for rental. It will be in English and Spanish. You can have laundry made we charge Q 40 per regular load. Remember if you want food like breakfast or dinner you need to tell us ahead of times.
