Centrally located on Valatie's Main Street with all of the village's amenities within a 2-minute walk—restaurants, bakery, antique shops, brewery, wine shop, library. Easy access for tubing, fly fishing and swimming in the creek—entering through Pachaquack Preserve. (Please note that we don't provide kayaks, tubes or other outdoor gear, so it's best to bring your own) We're right next door to the Main Street Diner, one of the best diners in Columbia County. They open at 6, close at 9. We eat there at least 3 times a week. They're like family to us. We have strong cable wifi at the apartment (approx 80 Mbps downloads / 10 Mbps uploads). The bedrooms each have their own desks with doors that can be closed off from the rest of the apartment. We also have an open air porch overlooking the creek with a table and chairs. You can park in the free municipal parking lot directly across from the house. PLEASE NOTE: This is a second floor apartment up a flight of stairs, in case anyone in your party has mobility issues. NOTE ABOUT EXTRA GUESTS: There is a $65 per person per night charge for over 2 guests. The total charge is tallied by Airbnb up front when you input your number of guests in the booking request. Guest access Guests have access to the entire second floor apartment and second floor back porch. Guests are not permitted in the private backyard off the ground floor apartment. Guests can access the creek for tubing, kayaking, swimming and fishing through Pachaquack Preserve—a 5 minute walk from the house. Access to the creek is not allowed through our private backyard. (Please note that we don't provide kayaks, tubes or other outdoor gear, so it's best to bring your own) We have electronic keypad locks on all the doors, which makes it easy for checking in and out—and there's always someone to reach out to by cell or text if you need anything.
