Casa Madera offers a fabulous open-air living experience, complete with your Private PickleBall Court, large front porch, and private plunge pool. Your Yucatan hammmocks are available for napping or just hanging out. The large refrigerator/freezer is a plus for keeping your groceries fresh and your drinks cold (with ice cubes). The six-burner stove is ready to prepare your favorite meals. Teresa is available to cook your meals. She will shop for you and prepare up to three meals/day. The space Casa Madera is located in Cabo Matapalo, Costa Rica on Playa Pan Dulce - the best beach in the area for safe swimming, sunning and surfing. Our little slice of paradise comes complete with the private PickleBall Court, the refreshing plunge pool located directly off the spacious front porch where you will while your time away in our wonderful Yucatan Hammocks. Casa Madera has a fully equipped kitchen, complete with a six-burner stove and a full size conventional refrigerator/freezer. Two bedrooms offer two double beds in each bedroom, with one bedroom being a bunkbed set-up. The bathrooom has a fabulous walk-in shower, large counter space and is ceramic tile, floor to ceiling! To get to the beach, follow your private path (182 stepping stones) right down to Playa Pan Dulce where you will find a wonderful shaded area and an expansive beach for sunbathing, fishing, beach combing and surging. Our yard is magnificently landscaped and attracts all kinds of wild life. One any given day, you will see possibly four species of monkeys (white face, squirrel, spider, and maybe (if you're lucky) you might even spot a howler. For surfing and fishing and general beach combing, you cannot beat Playa Pan Dulce. The waters are safe for kids and the temperature is absolutely perfect. Bring your favorite PickleBallers and immerse yourselves in the Pura Vida lifestyle that Matapalo has to offer. Guest access The entire house and property. Casa Madera is nestled within the green comfort of the jungle and the PickleBall Court is in your front yard. We call Casa Madera "the jungle house" and it is located on the Monkey Highway, providing many opportunities to view possibly three species of monkeys (maybe four, if you're lucky enough to spot a Howler) from the comfort of the plunge pool deck. Your private path (182 stepping stones) will get you down to Playa Pan Dulce...the best sand beach in the area. Other things to note The wildlife that you will see from the front porch will rival any trip to Corcovado National Park (almmost). You can go to the park if you wish, but I'm going to suggest you'll see everything you want to see in and around the property. Granted, if you take the time to go to the park and spend a few days there, Corcovado does offer an unbelievable jungle experience.
