The spacious ‘POOL HOUSE’ which is fully equipped, has a second mezzanine bedroom and adjoins directly onto the stunning Infinity Pool and ‘PALM and HIBISCUS COTTAGE’ which are both very private and enjoy the most amazing views of the Caribbean Sea. Set in 2 acres of lush tropical gardens in an elevated hillside position above the famous Princess Margaret Beach and with an incredible panoramic vista overlooking the Caribbean Sea and Admiralty Bay, the views are absolutely stunning and will not disappoint. The Penthouse Suite is our most luxurious accommodation at Tropical Hideaway and offers absolute privacy and such incredible views that quite simply will take your breath away. Some guests on arrival are so overwhelmed they become speechless. The Penthouse Suite is entered through you own private reception area, just a few steps away from our large and easy accessible car park and garden area. As you walk through the hand carved entrance doors, you are immediately drawn to the large and ornate, cast iron, spiral staircase leading up into the Penthouse Suite. A little to your right is your very own private gym. A spacious, light and airy room containing a Life Fitness professional treadmill and recumbent bike, a workout ball, yoga mats and freestyle cross trainer, a health rider, a vibration exercise training machine and a Tunturi endurance video bike showing the latest bike ride programs. If fitness isn't quite yet on your mind, just climb the few stairs up to the Penthouse Suite and enjoy the ultimate in living space, with such breathtaking views that many say are the 'finest on Bequia'. At the top of the stairs you enter your indoor living and bedroom area with arguably the biggest and most comfortable bed on the whole of the island. Beautifully made mahogany doors and windows compliment the ambiance and with fully screened closing louvers, you can sleep soundly at night with the knowledge that the rooms are all mosquito free. We have no biting sand flies (no see ums) at Tropical Hideaway and are mosquito free most of the year, except for a few around evening time. A large walk-in wardrobe provides ample room for all your clothes and an assortment of local books provide interesting reading for anyone wanting to relax in the white leather chairs and sofa. Open the door into the shower room and you are immediately impacted by the toilet with the ultimate view. Sympathetic and careful design has allowed this room to remain totally open yet remain completely private. The large, natural pebble shower has the same panoramic views as the toilet and the bathroom throughout has been fitted to the highest of standards. The shower even has a sit down seat and to complete the ambience, tropical plants surround the curved and sloping pebble and stone wall. The bathroom has a granite topped, solid oak vanity unit with 'his and her' designer sinks and a full compliment of luxury bathroom toiletries and linen are supplied as standard. An enormous outdoor living area, measuring around 10.7m (35') square, leads from the shower and bedroom area and this beautiful space offers the best in Caribbean style outdoor living. The kitchen area has a large upright fridge / freezer, sink unit, 2 burner gas hob, ice maker, combination microwave oven, toaster, kettle, cafetiere and a comprehensive range of high quality cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. An ice bucket is supplied and a second ice maker is available in the Pool Bar for your convenience. The granite top 'moon bar' is furnished with two breakfast stools allowing this lovely area to be used for al fresco dining as well as an evening sunset bar. Two hanging cane chairs are the perfect companions for the stunning moon bar and two matching 'captain' style rocking chairs are nearby. An authentic Thai cart wheel, coffee table sits centrally under the main ocean view arch and this is surrounded by a u shaped rattan seating area suitable for up to 10 people. A large hammock swings below the natural wood roof area, the perfect finishing touch to an already stunning room. As you walk forward a plethora of turquoise blues and greens come into view and with literally the whole of Admiralty Bay and the ocean in front of you, you cannot fail to be impressed. Sunsets and magical 'green flashes' can be stunning and the view of the Infinity pool is incredible. An outside gas barbecue is available and close by is a second al fresco dining area, complete with a bistro dining set and a wonderful view looking down towards the Infinity pool and the Caribbean Sea. All our accommodations have the latest 40” flat screen internet TV’s that give access to our in-house entertainment system supplying high definition films, TV, music and internet radio. High speed internet and Wi-Fi is supplied in all areas. Professional quality ceiling fans are positioned over all the beds and for those really hot days when the cooling Caribbean breeze has taken a rest, you can turn on the bedroom air conditioner until the breeze returns. All indoor living areas and bedrooms are fully screened allowing you the convenience of a mosquito free environment with the ambiance of outdoor living and stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. The Infinity pool is a stunning feature of the property and with the environmentally friendly solar heating, the pool can be enjoyed at all times of the year. There is a swim up sunken pool bar, complete with fridge, ice-maker and sink, a preparation and serving area and a generous supply of acrylic beverage glasses. Underwater coral seats are conveniently positioned around the submerged bar and this is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of your own personal wine or indulge in your favorite drink or snack. Adjoining the pool is a Gazebo complete with a large daybed and the views from here are just incredible. A perfect place to relax and read a book or simply enjoy the spectacular scenery. The Pool deck is tiled using natural stone coral and provides a safe, non slip and cool surface to walk on. Sun loungers, parasols, sunbathing mats and various chairs provide ample seating and relaxation areas around the pool. The Pool and pool deck are west facing and receive the sun for most of the day. A cooling Caribbean breeze is usually present and the Gazebo and large parasols provide areas of shade for the hottest part of the day. As the evening sun slowly sets and you look out over the Caribbean Sea, you cannot fail to be impressed. Sunsets from here can be amazing with the elusive ’green flash’ often being seen. The setting is simply perfect and with underwater pool lights and discreet Led lighting enhancing the evening ambiance, the special moment can continue long after the sun has set. Tropical Hideaway has a large barbecue area and complimentary charcoal is available on request. Please note the very large Infinity pool together with the Gazebo, pool patio and barbecue area are shared by any guests who are in residence at the time.
