Escape and unwind in our newly remodeled 3-bedroom cottage perched directly above the shores of Blue Hill Bay, just a scenic drive from Acadia National Park. Wake up to breathtaking sunrises over the ocean and fall asleep to the sound of waves. Stroll our private beach or enjoy the ocean view from the screened in porch and private deck…breathe in the fresh ocean air. Be amazed by the marine and wildlife you’ll see here at Water’s Edge. Create lasting memories! The space The Cottage was remodeled in 2024! The open concept kitchen flows into a dining space for 6 which then opens to the living room. The main floor features a master bedroom with king size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. Off the main hallway is a laundry room with bathroom. The well equipped kitchen with island features all new Bosch appliances complete with induction range and wine fridge. For the cooks out there we have a Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer, Blender and Food Processor. If you prefer fresh ground coffee in the morning…the cottage has Bodum Coffee Grinder. The dining room flows into the living room which has a beautiful screened in porch and a lovely deck looking over Blue Hill Bay. If you have to work, we have a desk on the first floor in a private nook. Upstairs you'll find 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and window seat. The other room features two twin size beds (cutest room in the house!). There is a bathroom with double sinks and a shower upstairs. Ocean views from every room! The back deck is equipped with a patio set for six and a propane grill. There is a terrace that flows from the deck and you’ll enjoy a spot to roast marshmallows in our solo stove fire pit. Guest access We own three private homes on the property. We kindly ask that you respect the privacy of others in each of the homes. Access to the beach is via the trees on the right hand side of the driveway, with a little ramp that goes down to the water. The beach is shared with the three homes. Please note tha the stairs and dock going to the beach are our private stairs/access and are not to be accessed by guests. The barn that is attached to the cottage is for our personal use and may need to be accessed by us during your stay for lawn equipment and such. Other things to note Regarding Cleaning Fee We take a great deal of pride in our cleaning and count ourselves lucky to have the best cleaning fairies in Blue Hill! After each guest we wash the mattress pad cover, pillow case covers, linens including blanket and duvet, as well as bath mats...that is a lot of laundry! Our team is at the house for approximately 7 hours making sure everything is perfect for your arrival. Our cleaning fee is paid entirely to them for their hard work. All bathrooms have Pharmacopia Verbena Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash and Lotion. We start each guest visit off with a full bag of coffee from Carrabassett Coffee Company, half and half, eggs, yogurt and butter. We also leave condiments in the fridge for our guests.
