A private retreat designed to accommodate up to 4 guests total, 2 each in their own private "palapa". Surround yourself in modern tropical luxury while experiencing the beauty and adventure of Costa Rica. The space In June 2022 we upgraded the internet. The download & upload speeds at the foot of the bed in the upper Palapa are 104 & 5.68 Mbps. The download & upload speeds at the foot of the bed in the lower Palapa are 73.3 & 5.46 Mbps. The compound consists of 2 tropical style thatched roof palapas with Balinese flare. Each palapa is designed to accommodate 2 in a luxurious bedroom and bath opening to ocean and jungle views. The interior bedroom and bathroom spaces are air-conditioned. The woods have been hand selected down to picking the trees to bring in rich woods while keeping clean, contemporary lines. Cool Columbian limestone floor tiles and sandstone carvings brought from Bali add elegant but tropical accents to each palapa. The upper palapa is two stories with an open living room on the first floor and a bedroom on the second. Also here is a powder room and full-size laundry. A wall of rich wood louver doors slides away to provide you with a small kitchen comprised of a refrigerator, two-burner stove, microwave and sink. It's a casual setting to prepare breakfast and lunch or evening cocktails before heading out to one of our local eateries for dinner. Guest access The compound consists of 2 modern tropical style thatched roof Palapas with Balinese flare. Each Thatched roof palapa is designed to accommodate 1 or 2 guests in a luxurious bedroom, with a king bed and bath opening to ocean views and nature on all sides. Since the villa has 2 identical bedrooms and bathrooms, each in separate palapas (buildings) and a couple typically rents the property, the base rate is for only the upper palapa. A small per night/guest fee is added for the second palapa, calculated by Airbnb when the 3rd & 4th guests are added to the number of guests staying. The villa is perfect for 1 or 2 couples offering a similar experience with privacy. Regardless of the number of guests renting, you are the only guests at the villa and no areas are rented to other guests during the term of the contract Other things to note There are 60 steps from the driveway access to the upper terrace and pool. While the bedrooms can be closed and air-conditioned, the remainder of the property is open air. The pool is not heated. We rely on the strong tropical sun to warm the pool, so it is refreshing from the tropical heat. Guests are required to sign and return a rental agreement that they will be sent by the property owner. Failure to comply with the terms, due dates & payment schedules and return of the completed rental agreement may result in the cancellation of a reservation. Some Airbnb categories are generalized and may not be completely accurate. For example, " Beach essentials" generically indicates snorkel equipment and a beach umbrella; however, these items are not provided.
