Come experience a relaxing weekend, on a scenic byway, only 3 miles from Langley. Airbnb Rated in the top 1%. Our little fireplace stove can keep you cozy with ambiance so romantic and inviting. Experience freshly ironed sheets - extra soft, and a lovely jetted tub with bath amenities. I offer my homemade breakfast baked goods delivered to the loft that you may enjoy at your leisure. Beautiful hiking trails are accessible from our property that wonder through Saratoga Woods. Come, Enjoy. The space The loft was built in 2010 as a guest residence above our wood working shop on the main floor. (My husband operates it mid morning to late afternoon.) We both, are many times outside working on landscaping, etc. The room is 440 square feet with a queen bed and full bath with jetted tub and shower combination. The kitchenette is complete with a microwave, Keurig coffeemaker, dishes, utensils, under the counter refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and countertop convection-microwave, but does not have a range, cooktop, or stove. Due to the rising cost of food and beverages, I will no longer be able to provide a full breakfast. I will however, continue with my tasty homemade baked goods, coffee, tea and cocoa. It is a romantic and cozy setting with a gas log fireplace for chilly nights and ambiance. Extra thought is given to comfort details including, bath amenities, and ironed linens. We ask our guests to please pop in briefly at our house when they arrive. We enjoy meeting or guests. And we also need to point out a few pertinent details about the loft which will make their stay more enjoyable. A MUTUAL AMBITION My husband and I have always loved the details of historic 17th and 18th century architecture. A carriage house with the upstairs hayloft appearance seemed like the perfect structure to live in while we were building the main house. We have a passion for history as well, and so it became the best of both interests. It was an invitation into featuring many of the components of this era. Historical colors were researched, and plans were drawn to replicate closely a period carriage house. We excavated the property ourselves, even digging the foundation by hand. All of the building structure was done by ourselves including the awning windows, with also some assistance from our children. It has a lighted cupola with a horse and buggy weathervane that gives it a particularly charming look. We added a jetted tub - not exactly the correct time period, but a luxury I always wanted. The interior and exterior lighting are exact replicas of New England lanterns, chandeliers and sconces. Upon completion of the main house, we thought that perhaps the carriage house hayloft area might be an attractive space for an Airbnb. I love textiles, color, and attention to details. I have enjoyed furnishing "The Hayloft" to make it a welcoming, and a comfortable space. It is complete with ironed linens, kitchen necessities, bath amenities, and a warm, romantic, propane fireplace. Once the space had the look I wanted, I decided to add pastries for my guests. Having been raised on a fruit farm, I loved to make many fruit baked goods from scratch. I place the items in the refrigerator on the day before guests arrive. Changing the look of the loft with the passing seasons is a lot of fun. Fall and all the holidays gives me a chance to be creative and add my own special touches of whimsey. My husband kids me about all the tubs of holiday paraphernalia I have stored! And speaking of my husband, Jamie... He is the mastermind of the whole project. His building and furniture making skills, design, ideas and attention to detail has made this whole project come together. I am forever grateful for his support and loving patience. While respecting our guest's privacy, we so enjoy visiting if they wish. Once, a "just married" couple were so busy at the reception, they forgot to eat and the restaurants were closed, so I set two extra place settings at our table for dinner. The kind of wonderful guests that have stayed with us has made being hosts rewarding and fun. I hope you come and stay the Hayloft. We don't think you will be disappointed! Guest access Private entrance at the carriage house apart from the main house using lock keypad. Other things to note No smokers. I cannot allow children under 12 years of age, due to the loft stairway. The Saratoga Trail system is accessible right from our property. They are well maintained and offer serene, easy walking. A large glacial rock can be seen along the trails.
