Outdoor in Autumn • Enjoy your view of the pond, soak in the sunshine, stroll the shaded, tree lined paths on the wilderness property, relax by the fire or enjoy the view from the porch under the Edison lights. Pond and Pines is the best spot for your next vacation getaway. Guest access The cabin's main floor is for your exclusive use. The cabin has a small daylight basement that is only accessible from the outside. It has no access into the cabin. This lower area is locked and used exclusively by property management for guest changeover and landscape and building maintenance purposes. Cabin Entrance The door to the cabin has a coded lock. Use the code we provide by typing your numbers onto the keypad. You do not need to do anything else. If your code was entered correctly, the lock will beep twice, and the light will blink green. The door is now unlocked. The door does not lock automatically. Use the lever on the inside of the door to lock it. Locking the door from outside When you leave the cabin, please lock it. To lock the door, close it, then press the 'Kwikset’' button located above the keypad on the lock. You will hear the lock activate. If the bolt is secured, you will receive a double beep and an amber light. If it fails, you will receive a red light. To repair, open and close the door securely and press the Kwikset button again. Arriving by Air Sea-Tac Airport is the closest airport. The drive from the airport to the cabin is 77 miles. It should take approximately 77 - 90 minutes of drive time. Getting around We recommend arriving by car as it will give you the freedom to explore and enjoy the beautiful Central Cascade Mountain area. We offer free parking at the cabin. Other things to note Starlink internet provided at POND and PINES. We are offering a retreat in nature - silent nights, dark starry skies, walking paths, wildlife and natural beauty. The log walls of our cabin are worn yet loved and lustrous. The kitchen and bath are brand new and modern; we chose to maintain the history and character of the original building and blend it beautifully with the new. In winter, come prepared for snowy fun and cold temperatures. Dress like a day skiing. Feel free to bring sleds and snow toys. No motorized sleds permitted. The cabin is warm and cozy heated by an oil furnace. In summer, we have air conditioning. You'll want to bring your personal Sunscreen, Bug Spray, allergy medication (if needed), sunglasses, hat, sturdy shoes, water shoes. We offer a limited selection of life vest sizes and one swim towel per person (fido gets a towel too). We recommend that footwear be worn at all times. sharp objects, thorns and stinging things abound (in and out of the water). Protect your feet.
