NOT A HOTEL. Come enjoy this 1970's A-frame with a gorgeous view of Guntersville Lake, complete with a stock tank pool and stock tank hot tub! The house is cozy and the vibes are immaculate. The yard bosts of hammocks, a kayak launch, a fire pit, native plants, and great bird watching. Scottsboro is less than 10 minutes away. Shop at Publix, enjoy KC's BBQ on the water, check out the treasure trove of local thrift stores, and definitely hit up Unclaimed Bagagge!! The space This lake house is not for everyone. If you are looking for a hotel experience, this is not the getaway for you. The house is kitschy and cozy with plenty of opportunities for relaxation. And the water pressure is unmatched!!! Twist the knob in the center of the shower heads to adjust. The house was built in the 70s and has lots of personality. The deck is the place to be! Build a fire, soak in the tub, enjoy a good book, or just the view of the lake and Sand Mountain. There will be signs of life. I, the owner, keep things there full-time. There will be condiments in the fridge(you are more than welcome to use them) and other signs that the owner uses the house regularly. If you are looking for a hotel-style experience, please do us both a favor and go stay at a hotel. Guest access You will have access to the entire property. While the property does have 100 feet of shore line, there is only a small kayak launch for the water access. It only works well when the water is over the ramp. The shore is wetlands and tall grasses. You will need to paddle through grass to get out to the open water. If the water is low, its best to take the kayaks over to the boat ramp just out to the main road (Bellefonte Road), take a left, cross the water, and the parking lot will be on your right. There is no CO2 sensor in the house because there is no gas in the house. The only gas is to heat the hot tub. Other things to note The house can be loud! (especially in the summer months) The metal exterior makes a lot of noise when it is warming up and cooling down. You may hear it creaking but don't let it worry you. There are sound machines next to every bed to help muffle the sound at night. Also the upstairs and downstairs have a significant temperature difference in the summer. That's why there is a fan in the stairwell. Just turn that on low to get the air to properly circulate. There are also box fans and small space heaters so each room can get comfortable as desired.
