The charming 3-bed, 2.5-bath Cottage is a paradise year-round with a cozy fireplace and games inside, on-site access to Puget Sound, 2 kayaks, an outdoor fire pit, and yard games. It is close to many other stunning beaches, state parks, and golf courses. Relax on the private deck where you might spot seals, otters, and soaring bald eagles ! Explore the delightful towns nearby for local dining experiences and shops. The space The Cottage at Seal Cove is your year-round destination. On warm weather days enjoy the outside with water access, kayaks, fire pit, yard games or the sand box. When it gets cooler outside enjoy the view from almost every space while staying warm inside snuggled around the gas fireplace, playing games or ping pong, puzzling, cooking, or watching a movie. This 2,000 square foot home offers the space to spread out or hang together. With three bedrooms (one upstairs and two downstairs )and two living rooms (one on each floor) guests can find the spot that works best for them. The home is equipped with high speed internet and all rooms have memory foam mattresses with a variety of pillows to choose from. The main living space is an easy flow from living room to dining room to kitchen allowing you to enjoy the house activities while you cook, eat, or just relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with tools and appliances to make your cooking easier. Directly off the main living space is a porch that allows you breathtaking views of the water and backyard (including the row boat sandbox and fire pit). Enjoy using the gas BBQ, sitting in the chairs, or dining on the picnic table. In the basement there is the TV room that also has a ping pong table, kids kitchen and table, plus more games. You can also cozy up next to the fireplace or roll up to the game table to do a puzzle or play a board-game. The backyard is really a wonderful place to play during the day, watch the cove for wildlife (keep and eye out for seals, otters, heron, and bald eagles), play in the row boat sandbox, with one of the yard games, or start a fire in the solo stove fire pit (firewood is provided). The real gem of the Cottage is the cove-side dock right off the backyard. Follow the path down to the dock where you can be water side (when the tide is up) to see the action. If you want to get out on the water (spoiler alert: there is a view of Mt Rainier as you exit the cove) hop in one of the provided kayaks and paddle out to see what you can find. Our guests find this to be one of their favorite, most relaxing activities. Nearby points of interest include Hood Canal , Alderbrook Resort and Spa, Hama Hama Oyster Saloon, Gig Harbor, Lake Cushman, State parks and more. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property excluding the garage, storage shed, and two locked owner closets inside. Other things to note There is parking for three vehicles on the property. There are many hiking trails, public beaches, boat launches, and other outdoor activities all within 20 minutes drive of the Cottage.
