In the Maldives, where boat travel is the norm, Dhangethi boasts excellent connectivity with Malé and other Southern Atoll islands through local ferries and speed boats. Additionally, air travel is an option, and scheduled speedboats, a preferred choice among tourists, complete the journey between Malé Airport and Dhangethi in approximately 90 minutes. For the convenience of our guests, the cost of the speedboat transfer is $45 per person (per way), ensuring a hassle-free transition to paradise. Operating twice a day, the speedboat schedule from the airport to Dhangethi is set at 10:45 am and 3:45 pm. Kindly review the following information attentively: Public Ferry to Dhangethi Island from Viligilli ferry Terminal, Malé: For travellers on more of a budget, the local slow ferry runs between Malé and Dhangethi Island (via Mahibadhoo) trip is a 6hrs one-way and costs around US$5. Male' City to Mahibadhoo Island: The ferry service from Male' City to Mahibadhoo Island operates on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. The departure time is promptly at 8 am, and the estimated arrival time at Mahibadhoo Island is 12:15 pm. Mahibadhoo Island to Male' City: For your return journey from Mahibadhoo Island to Male' City, the ferry departs on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The scheduled departure time is 11 am, and you can expect to reach Male' City at approximately 3:30 pm. Mahibadhoo to Dhangethi Island: Should you wish to explore the captivating Dhangethi Island, the ferry service is available six days a week, with the exception of Fridays. The departure from Mahibadhoo to Dhangethi is at 1 pm, and the estimated arrival time is 2 pm. Dhangethi Island to Mahibadhoo: When returning from Dhangethi Island to Mahibadhoo, please note that the ferry departs at 8:30 am, and you can expect to arrive at Mahibadhoo by 9:30 am.
