Newly Renovated and Charming 1915 Farmhouse on the Ivy River
Farmhouse Luxury just 20 minutes from Asheville! Fully restored, this home is a perfect country oasis. Situated on 6.5 acres on the Ivy River, the farmhouse has new appliances, beds, and more while maintaining all its' vintage charm. Enjoy acres of meadow along the river. River view from the deck captures both sunrise and sunset. Close to hiking and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Full kitchen, laundry, central air. A true Appalachian dream getaway! The space This charmingly restored 1915 farmhouse has two full bedrooms and one small bedroom/ study with a small futon suitable for a smaller adult or a child. There are two full bathrooms and a full kitchen that is well-appointed by the owner of the property who is a chef and homesteader with decades of domestic/ hospitality industry experience. The host and owner lives on site just a couple acres above the farmhouse and is available for help for any and all questions or needs. The 6.5 acre property has a small country road in between the farmhouse and the riverfront acreage. The 2.5 acres on the riverfront are owned by the host as well and are open to your enjoyment. There's a beautiful beach on the Ivy River down there where you can use the towels and chairs supplied for you for picnics and water play. Bring a picnic down in the basket provided with all the supplies necessary in order to enjoy an entire day by the river. Guest access Guests are free to roam the entire riverfront acreage as well as the vast yard around the farmhouse rental. The host sometimes will be doing work around the other areas of the land and enjoys saying hi and showing guests around other areas should they want to see more. There is a barn, a workshop, some sheds and a root cellar and chicken coop (still under renovation) that are all a part of the working farm. Other things to note There has been a small amount of confusion about the bedrooms of the farmhouse so I just want to specify that there are two FULL bedrooms with closets; one with an en suite bathroom. There is a 3rd small bedroom that has a "double" futon which is large enough to comfortably sleep a smaller adult or a child. Since the pictures were taken for this post we've since screened in the front porch that overlooks the river. Pictures don't do justice for how beautiful the space is on the screened-in porch. You have a bug-free outdoor living space with nothing but river and the Blue Ridge Mountains as far as the eye can see. The position of this home on our land allows for both a sunrise and sunset view. It's such a special home and location, we hope to share it with you someday!
