Life on the river is amazing! This 3 bed, 3 bath, all-season home on the river is a peaceful getaway only one hour from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. Located in Star Prairie, a town of 500, the home is only 1.5 miles from a coffee shop on main street, but you'll be in a private oasis when you're there. Direct access to the river and plenty of space for you and yours to spend quality time with each other. There's a fire pit, sauna, ping pong, and foosball, too! The space This all season home is as comfortable as you could wish. Built in 2006, it's comfy for everyone and lovely to boot. The main level is open and perfect for large gatherings of cooking, talking and hanging out - complete with a gas fireplace. The back porch is lovely any time of year, although I'd probably recommend it more in the summer. =) Two car garage is attached to the house (but only one indoor spot for a car - had to make room for the ping pong table!). You can tie tubes out from the dock or large rocks in the river and simply sit and hang right in front of the house. Or drive a couple of miles up river and float back to the house. Nothing is better in summer than a good float! The Apple River isn't deep, so this isn't a swimming river. Adults will be up to their knees at most spots in the river near the house. Great for tubing or kayaking. You'll need to bring your own or rent. Water shoes are a must! In winter, enjoy the views and peace and quiet. And the firepit at night to watch the stars. Guest access One parking spot in the garage and room for another 5-6 cars in the driveway. Other things to note If you want to go for hikes, you can walk around the neighorhood on roads, but to hike in nature you'll have a better time driving about 20 minutes to one of the parks in the area - Willow River is my favorite!
