Other things to note • BABY ON BOARD! - As you wrap up your stay, just a quick heads up - there's a brand new little one around. The baby will be joining mom for cleaning after you check-out, so if you could make sure you're not leaving any substances that could be dangerous to a baby behind, that would be great. Also, if you've been feeling unwell or mingling with someone who has, give us a heads-up. We'll make sure someone else takes care of the cleanup for the safety of the baby and mom. • ROOSTER NOISE & HENS - We have a rooster that does crow! He's a good boy and loves his hens! There are free earplugs and a white noise machine for your use, if you decide you need them, in the side table next to the bed. They often visit our guests on the porch. If you don't like them, just gently heard them away. • PRIVACY - You'll be delighted to know that I value your privacy and understand that you're here to relax and unwind. During your stay, you'll have complete privacy and won't be disturbed by me unless you specifically ask for interaction or help. While you may catch a glimpse of me on my side of the fence, I will always respect your boundaries and ensure that you have the space to enjoy your vacation without any interference. • ROAD NOISE - This lot is by a two-lane road. You WILL hear traffic. We cannot control that. The privacy fence, hot tub, air conditioning, TV, white noise machine and ear plugs help, if that is something that bothers you. My camper is right against the road, and it isn't bothersome to me. • LARGE DOG ON-SITE - You'll feel completely safe and secure during your stay with our lovable German Shepherd on duty. He's a big, friendly pooch who loves to greet our guests and protect his home. Rest assured that he's on a collar system and won't be able to access your area or the driveway. He may bark from time to time, but it's rare. • INFANTS/TODLERS/CHILDREN - Although there is only one bed in The Bear Den, families with infants or children are more than welcome to join us! We understand that it can be a bit of a squeeze, but we're happy to accommodate families in any way we can. Just keep in mind that the property is not child-proof and there's not much room for a bassinet or portable bed. • CREEPY CRAWLIES - Living in the woods means you'll be surrounded by all kinds of fascinating wildlife, from four-legged to eight-legged creatures. It's all part of nature's beauty, and we do our best to keep them at bay while still letting their natural wonder shine. If you keep your food and trash cleaned up, you'll discourage em' from knocking at the door. • POTTY TIME - To keep our camper septic system in top condition, we kindly ask that you place excess tissue paper and anything else that doesn't belong in a toilet in the trash bin. By doing this, you'll help the system run smoothly and avoid any mishaps during your stay. • AIR CONDITIONING - Our camper AC can be a loud, but it'll keep you cool and comfortable no matter how hot it gets outside. We want you to be as comfortable as possible, so feel free to adjust the temperature to your liking! • HEAT - To save on propane and keep our environment happy, we ask that you only use the space heater when it's only slightly cold, this isn't mandatory, but it is appreciated! • HOT WATER - We have installed an on demand water heater! It is propane and ventless, so it does heat the bathroom up, but crank up the AC, and you'll have a cool camper and a long, hot shower at your service! It IS finicky - by getting the water too hot and/or cutting off. There is nothing the company will do about it. All you have to do is cut the water off at the faucet for 15 seconds and back on. The recommended way to operate it is to turn the shower faucet on half way between you and the half way mark. Let it get hot, then slowly turn it towards the middle. If it starts to get too cold, slowly turn it back to the left. If you're too slow at doing this, the heater may kick off. Just turn the water off and back in. • ESSENTIALS - We want your stay at The Bear Den to be as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. That's why we've stocked the camper with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay, including kitchen essentials, coffee essentials, towels, bedding, and toiletries. And if you need anything else during your stay, we're just a short drive away from several stores where you can find anything you need. ● HOT TUB - 1. **Usage Waiver:** By choosing to use the hot tub, you agree to waive us from any liability for injuries. Your safety is our top priority, so please enjoy responsibly. 2. **Pre-Use Shower:** Please shower before using the hot tub and avoid applying lotions beforehand. This helps keep the water clean and enjoyable for everyone. 3. **Controls:** Kindly refrain from touching any controls except for the bubble control. This helps maintain the proper settings for your relaxation. (IF the heater and the pump setting turns off during your stay, please turn it back on). 4. **Cover:** Please keep the hot tub covered when not in use to retain heat and maintain cleanliness. 5. **Sanitization:** Leave the floating devices in the tub when you aren't using it, as they help keep the water clean and sanitized. 6. **Sharp Objects:** To avoid punctures, please ensure no sharp objects are around the hot tub. 7. **No Additives:** Do not add any soaps, Epsom salts or other substances to the hot tub. This preserves the quality and safety of the water and pump. 8. **New Addition:** As this is a brand-new addition, we can't guarantee it will be fully functional during your stay, but we will do our best. 9. **Maintenance:** We may need to test the water and add chemicals once per day. Rest assured, this will not be done while you are present, and we will never enter the camper during your stay. If the hot tub beeps, it needs a new filter. This is completely random and can happen at any time. If it happens at night, just unplug it and let me know the next day. I'll come change it whenever it is convenient for you. ● PROJECTOR - - Please don't operate when windy - I can't guarantee functionality or quality - Guide to operate coming soon, but if you can operate a Roku remote and account, you will know how to use this! Just lower the projector screen by pressing the down button on the projector remote (closest to projector), turn the projector on by pressing the power button on the next remote (you also operate the volume on this remote), turn the roku on (with the last remote that says Roku) and use the roku remote to operate for there! Bluetooth speaker is mounted by the hot tub so you can hear it better. Volume buttons are on the side facing the hot tub, and additional volume is controled here. Please turn everything off and put the screen up when done. ● WASHER & DRYER - Only available for longer stays. Usage needs to be coordinated because it is shared with me. There is a laundromat 10 minutes away in Walhalla and 2 more about 13 minutes away in Seneca.
