This is the largest house, perfect for hosting up to six people. Surrounded by a beautiful garden, it offers plenty of space and comfort. Inside, you'll find a well-furnished kitchen, two double bedrooms (one on the upper floor), two single sofa beds in the dining area, a private bathroom, and a spacious covered terrace with views of the lush tropical garden. The space The property is located in a large tropical garden just three hundred meters from the beautiful Playa Negra beach and one km from Puerto Viejo village. The houses, built in a coloured caribbean style, are fully furnished and very comfortable. Guest access The little town of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, sleepy during the day and lively in the evenings and at night, offers endless possibilities for all ages. You can take a stroll during the day along the main street or along the beach passing by a gelateria, a souvenir shop to a “soda”, a small food stall, where you can enjoy the famous “gallo pinto”, a tasty local dish made of rice, eggs and black beans accompanied by cheese and served for breakfast. If you know a bit of Spanish or English it is nice to engage in conversation with the locals who are always kind to strangers, although always in a rush… The Saturday market (open from 6 am to 11 am) offers quality organic products has a pleasing atmosphere and is frequented by tourists and locals. The restaurants, with Caribbean or ethnic food, are worthwhile and make the area one of the most varied in gastronomic options and culinary culture. Naturally the Italian restaurants differentiate themselves for the quality and gastronomic fantasy and contribute to making the area one of the most varied in Costa Rica for food. Pubs and discos take care of the night and the many young foreigners who often enjoy the Caribbean with a sleeping bag and a surf board. For the lovers of the sea obviously the opportunities abound. You can simply enjoy the many beaches, often rather deserted, among which “our” Playa Negra, Cocles, Playa Cahuita, Punta Uva and Manzanillo. The surfers appreciate the “break point” of Salsa Brava and Cocles, while those interested in fishing, scuba or snorkeling have endless opportunities to enjoy their favorite activity. In Puerto Viejo and Punta Uva there are great diving centers who organize PADI courses and daily excursions. In town the many tourist agencies offer a variety of excursions by boat, from fishing in the high seas to hidden locations which allow you to get to know what local fishermen do. The snorkeling is especially good in the national park of Cahuita where the barrier reef offers protection to a variety of species which is truly extraordinary; still there are points of interest also in the area of Punta Uva and Manzanillo. The lovers of excursions have many choices too. Not to be missed are the north view of the Parco Cahuita (with free entrance to anyone from Cahuita) which is an extraordinary example of the costal rain forest and south of the Refuge of Gandoca-Manzanillo which is another splendid coastal area which, after the lovely Punta Mona, takes you to the border with Panama. With departure from the small marina of Moin you can reach, with three hours of navigation of the Canal of Tortuguero, the most important location in the world for sea turtles. This is a true oasis of land and water where you can admire an incredible variety of animal and vegetal species. Over the border, towards the south, you can reach Panama in two hours by car or bus and visit the famous Archipelago of Bocas del Toro and appreciate the beauty of the uncontaminated sea scape filled with mangroves, crystal clear sea bottoms and the lively community of Isla Colon. On the hills of Talamanca, the indigenous community of Bri Bri is not to be missed to have a direct contact with the Indio culture and get to know their way of life so different from ours. Other things to note It is possible to organize and book several tours directly at our Jardin
