Escape to our authentic 1899 log cabin nestled in 3.5 acres of enchanting woods in Rangeley, Maine! Ideal for all seasons. Our cabin is down the road from premier skiing at Saddleback Mountain; and near tons of trails for hiking, ATV, and snowmobile adventures. Speaking of adventure, our cabin boasts over a 1/4 mile of private wooded trails to explore, a private pond, outdoor yoga platform, and access to Loon Lake (~350ft walk from the house) - which includes use of kayak and paddle-board! The space Our restored three story log cabin has plenty of space for the family (or two) to spread out, while also keeping that quintessential, cozy Maine cabin feel. On the ground floor, you'll find the master bedroom equipped with a king bed, private TV, walk-in stone shower, and direct backyard access. Down the hall is the kids' bunk room and office space, as well as the laundry room and stairway. On the first floor, you'll have plenty of opportunity for family time, with a game room, living space, dining area, and kitchen fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, a coffee maker, and more. Upstairs, you'll find our favorite spot for kids and friends - the loft with two queen beds and a private little hangout area overlooking the backyard woods. Access to Loon Lake: About a 350 foot walk to our shared access dock on Loon Lake where you can easily launch a kayak or paddle board. This is just across the road and in between a couple of other houses. Additionally, Loon Lake is a no motors lake, which makes it great for paddling around in a serene environment. In the lake there are Land Locked Salmon, Brook Trout, and much more for GREAT fishing! Rangeley Public Beach: For the best swimming, we recommend heading into town to the Rangeley Public Boat Launch or to Rangeley State Park. Private Pond: In our backyard, we have a private pond connected to Loon Lake via a stream that runs through the property. It's extremely private, and provides a great area to escape, meditate, cast a line in the water, and enjoy our peaceful woods. During the summer months you will also have access to a guest cabin w/ queen bed, half bath and screened porched. Originally, it was a boy scout cabin. It too has been restored. Everything is as pictured, but please feel free to message with any questions you may have about layout or otherwise. Guest access ** From May - September, you will also have access to the Guest Cabin, which houses another queen bed and half bath. We allow up to 9 guests during summer months ** Other things to note * 5 miles to Rangeley center - shopping and restaurants, public boat launch on Rangeley Lake and swimming at Rangeley State Park * 13 miles to Saddleback Mountain; downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and fat bike trails. * 33 miles to Sugarloaf Mountain * Direct snowmobile access from our private road to multiple snowmobile trails connecting with ITS trail 89
