Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. *Please Note: No Animals** *Please mention in your inquiry if you'll have children or babies with you. My house is not baby/child-proof. If you have toddlers or children, you must keep an eye on them at all times. The space See my other listings of this same space as a “shared” space for reviews. The current listing you are looking at is “private” because I’ll either be in a separate apartment in the house or away, so you’ll have the main-floor apartment to yourself. **If you’d like to save a few bucks or prefer the possibility of someone’s company/don’t mind shared spaces, check out my other listing for the same room; private bedroom but shared bathroom and other spaces with me.**. If you need space for more guests, there is another apartment available upstairs. Please check my listings. The apartment is on the first floor of my home (not a basement apartment). The bedroom has a Full Bed (sleeps 2), a desk next to a window (view of pool and yard) and a dresser and closet for your belongings (Note: I use the closet and 1-3 of the drawers for storage, but there is still plenty of space for you to hang clothing and many empty drawers for you to utilize). The window next to the full-length mirror looks into the sunroom. There are great ceiling fans in every room and a vent fan in the bathroom. For your room, I can also provide a desk fan and/or standing A/C unit in the warmer months. (The AC makes noise but I do provide earplugs if you prefer silence.) There is also a small space heater for added heat in the colder months if needed. The bedside tables have amber light bulbs for relaxation before bed and bedside reading. (Note: There is not a lot of space between the wall and the bed on one of the sides, but enough for someone on that side to get out should they need to get up during the night.) As the main apartment is yours, you have access to a private bathroom, private kitchen, private living and dining room area, your own private entrance through the front door, and locks on the doors. Please note that if I or other guests are staying in the apartment above, you’ll be sharing the sunroom, pool, yard, parking, and laundry areas. Guest access This is generally my living space (except your bedroom is used for guests with the exception of me utilizing the closet and some drawers). You will have the main-floor apartment to yourself, but please be respectful that this is my home and living space in general. Things like food in the fridge, liquor in the liquor cabinet, etc are not included in the booking. You’ll see some of my things in the bathroom cabinet but the bathroom will be for your use only, as will the rest of the apartment. All of the rooms are on the first floor of the house. The front stoop has 5 steps. There are about 4-5 steps to get down to the sunroom (3-season room), which leads out to the pool. The laundry area in the basement is also a shared space and is accessible by going down 1 flight of stairs. BATHROOM: There is a full bathroom with shower/tub. The hairdryer is in your bedroom. *House Manual on Airbnb and in your room explains how to turn on the shower.* KITCHEN: Stove/oven, toaster oven, and full-size refrigerator with freezer. I have an electric kettle, french press, percolator, and espresso machine (if you expect to need any of these, just let me know and I can have them out and available for you). (Please provide your own coffee.) LIVING ROOM: Vizio TV with BluRay/DVD Player and some streaming options (I do not have cable) DINING ROOM: Attached to the living room and has a bay window with views of the front yard In addition to your private apartment, you’ll have access to these shared areas of the property: SUNROOM/3-Season Room: (This is a shared space with me and/or my other guests.) There is a large dining table in the sunroom, as well as some couches. Many windows for air flow. This room is not heated so it is too cold to enjoy in the winter time, but I do have space heaters for use during spring/fall, if needed. *PLEASE NOTE: Exercise equipment in the house is NOT for guest use*, with the exception of the free weights. YARD/POOL: (This is a shared space with me and/or my other guests.) Pool availability depends on if it happens to be open for the season when you are here (2024/25 Update: The pool is closed until mid/late May 2025.). Use of Pool and Yard is at your own risk. Please be responsible and careful. No Diving - the pool has a shallow and deep end, but the deep end only goes about 4.5' deep. BASEMENT/LAUNDRY: (This is a shared space with me and/or my other guests.) To use the Washer and Dryer located in the basement, you need to go down 1 flight of stairs. *Please bring your own detergent/softeners if you'll be doing more than 1 load during your stay* Feel free to use my laundry basket, drying racks, and clothesline/pins as well.
