Our home is close to Morton Arboretum, Oakbrook & Yorktown shopping malls, Brookfield zoo, many restaurants, 30 mins from O'hare airport, and 20 miles to Downtown Chicago We have animals on the premises, two cats, a dog, chickens and bunnies. Pets friendly The space You have access to our private sub-basement with your own private bathroom. The house is on a quiet street. You can park on the driveway or anywhere on the grass in front of the home. There is a treadmill and a few gym equipment in your room, which you are welcome to use. A full size bed and a futon. Sit back on the futon couch and enjoy your 42 inch TV. The couch can turn in a small bed for you or your children. Patio with an outdoor grill. Peaceful firepit for roasting marshmallows. We will be on the ground floor. We can interact with you or you can spend your time in privacy. We are usually outside feeding our animals. Our dog (corgi, her name is Mesa) will be outside in the yard sometime so you may see her run around. She is super friendly. If you need to use our kitchen, just let us know. We can make you fresh eggs from our chickens Other things to note Disclaimer: Our home is on a private well. Occasionally the water will have that egg smell (sulfur). We do have a whole house water filtration system and a water softener to keep the water clean and healthy. Please let us know if the smell is there, it takes about 4-5 hours for us to flush and clean entire water system. We do an annual water test to see if the water is safe for human consumption. Disclaimer: Hot water is really hot. Disclaimer: Our corgi is quiet most of the time. You may hear her barks during the day or us talking upstairs. We try to be quiet and give you peace. You will have fresh linens. Extra blanket and towels are inside one of the closets. We also have disposable plates and utensils as well. If you need anything else to make your stay more comfortable, please let us know. We want to be the best hosts for our guests. You can use the main entrance, just ring our bell and we will walk you to your room. Or you can use the fence gate to go thru the back to your sub-basement in private. The key will be inside the lock-box in the back. We will respect your privacy. We won't intrude in your space while you are staying with us. Our home has central air. The sub-level is a bit cooler at night and rest of the house. Around 65°F to 70°F. We have a very quiet heater if you need to stay warm at night.
