This spacious 864-sf apartment is located above a working miniature animal hobby barn. With a farmhouse style finish, this retreat boasts of modern comfort with 150+Mbps high-speed internet, forced air AC and heat, a full-size kitchen and bar with plenty of space to cook and eat, a 55" TV, and an exquisite view of the local mountains! You may hear the occasional bray, moo, bleat, or cock-a-doodle-doo, and it's all a part of the experience here with us on our little farm. The space This property is located on a 7.5 acre hobby farm. Our home and barn are located on the premises, and you will be staying in the upper story of the barn. We built the barn in 2022, and lived in the barn apartment for a little over a year, and did our best to make it as comfortable as possible for our future guests. Our dream was to build a farm with miniature animals and other farm critters, become as self sufficient as possible, and separate ourselves from the chaos of living in a more populated area. Our little farm is located within the largest cottonwood forest in the United States and borders the historic Harrison Canal on the south. Right next door is a large potato processing facility (hey, we live in Idaho). We currently have miniature donkeys, Nigerian dwarf goats, miniature highland cows, and chickens, but are in the process of adding to our farm family! We are centrally located to many different recreational areas. We are within 2 hours of 3 National Parks and Monuments (Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Craters of the Moon), several State Parks, three minutes from world-renowned fishing along the Snake River, 20 minutes from Kelly Canyon Ski Resort and Recreation Area, 15 minutes from Heise Hot Springs and 7N Ranch, close to countless trails for hiking-running-biking-ATVs-horseback riding, near several rivers-streams-lakes for recreating, and so much more. We are avid trail runners and if you are looking for trails and other beautiful local areas to visit, we are happy to share our favorites! We look forward to sharing our farm and surrounding area with you! Guest access You will have access to the apartment in the upstairs portion of the barn. You are free to roam the field and take walks along the canal, but are not permitted inside the main portion of the barn or inside any of our animal paddocks without one of us (the owners) being present. Also, please do not open any of our gates. This is for the safety of both you and our animal family. Please note, the apartment is located up a large flight of stairs. If you have trouble with stairs, this may not be the best fit for you. Our property borders a canal that runs in the summer months, so please be mindful of that and watch children closely. Other things to note Please note, this apartment is located above a working barn where animals live. That said, you may hear them bray, moo, bleat, or make other noises, which is all part of the fun. We do have a white noise machine in the bedroom to help if you are a light sleeper. Please be prepared to climb a flight of stairs to get to the apartment.
