Hilltop Hideaway is a cozy oasis offering gorgeous valley and mountain views! Grab your coffee and sit for a spell in one of the front porch rockers to listen to the sounds of the surrounding farm life. Unwind after a day on Watauga Lake (10 minutes), hiking the Appalachia Trail (5 minutes) or Skiing Beech/Sugar Mountain (35 minutes)! Enjoy the privacy of the country with convenient access to Johnson City (20 minutes), Banner Elk (30 minutes), Bristol (30 minutes) or Elizabethton (10 minutes). The space The home is up a “holler” as we say in East Tennessee. After traveling up the gravel drive, the porch steps will take you to the house where there is an open living room and kitchen with the bedrooms/bathroom located down the hallway. Although there is only one bathroom available, the master bedroom offers an additional vanity sink. You can expect to hear the sounds of nature - whether cows and donkeys occasionally during the day, or crickets and cicadas most evenings! There is a small fire pit in the yard that guests are welcome to use while practicing fire safety. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire property and access to the entire top level of the home. The basement and garage are closed until they are ready to add to the listing. Guests can rest assured that only their party will be staying on site during their stay. Make yourselves at home. Other things to note This home is in the country - encounters with animals, insects and weather are all possible! Please be mindful with trash as (although I haven’t seen any) there are bears and wildlife. The driveway is gravel and occasionally gets washed out when it rains. We do our best to keep it maintained, but sometimes we are not able to bring in additional gravel before your stay. For security purposes, there is a Ring doorbell installed by the front door. Ring doorbells record both sound and video with the presence of any motion. There are no recording devices located inside the home.
