Want to escape the craziness of NYC & share our gorgeous Lake House? Only 70 mins from NYC, see the gorgeous fall colors, ~10 minutes to Warwick, NY (apple picking, shops, & dining) Skiing (Mountain Creek Resort), & Wawayanda State Park (hiking, beach etc). Find serenity in a hammock or cozy up on the couch with STUNNING lake views. Enjoy sunset cocktails from our deck & use our boats to explore the private lake. We're excited to share our lakefront paradise w/ other respectful & cool people. The space We love our house so much and I wish we could be there all the time, but alas... we have to work and so must split our time between Lake Wanda and NYC. When we are not at the lake, I would love to share it with other like minded people, who are looking for a peaceful escape. This is all to say... we take great pride in our home and I think you will be super comfortable & find everything you need! The house is super bright, incredibly quiet and private. Enjoy our large private lake front , which has a dock, boats, life vests, towels, BBQ grills and tons of outdoor furniture & games. Inside is very cozy and serene. There are two large bedrooms upstairs, each with an en suite full bathroom. Downstairs there is another full guest bathroom, a renovated open concept kitchen, which flows into the large living space, with a dining area & unbelievable lake views from every window. We have a fairly large driveway, which can fit at least 4 cars. There are two markets and a gas station in walking distance. There is everything you might need (Grocery Store, Liquor Store, CVS, Dunkin Donuts, good pizza, bagels, Japanese and other fast food) only 7 mins away, in Vernon Valley ( on your way to the awesome ski slopes at Mountain Creek or to hike the Applalachian Trail). 10 minutes away is Warwick, NY- an adorable Hudson Valley town with charming local shops, delicious farm to table restaurants and Pennings Orchard, which serves delicious food, has a cool beer garden and apple picking in the fall. Also, 10 mins to Wawayanda State Park, for great hiking, and a swimming beach. So basically...There is a lot of fun stuff close by! While we don't have any children, I am an awesome Auntie, so I do have a pack and play, some children's plates/ bowls/ cutlery, a booster chair and some fun toys. There is also a twin sized foldable futon type thing and a queen sized aero-bed which I can set up, upon request. And, our couch is super comfy to sleep on (one of my husband's favorite nap spots). In the fall, you can enjoy the gorgeous changing leaves and check out the numerous farms nearby to apple pick or do Halloween fun! In Winter you will overlook the frozen lake, which is so serene and are only 10 minutes from the fabulous Ski Mountains at Mountain Creek. The house is fully equipped with everything you'll need including fantastic wifi, smart TV's, games, linens, towels, blankets and anything else! Please let me know if you have any questions!
