Bugs are attracted to the outdoor lights and will fly their way in when you open the door, and make their way to the living room lamps. The Cottage is not "bug proof". Bugs will also make their way in walking through open doors, squeezing through small spaces under the door, etc. The Cottage is very clean, seeing bugs indoors is not a cleanliness issue. It's a "living in the woods" issue. If this makes you uncomfortable, The Cottage is not for you! We have a multi-step filtration system for the well water.
