Welcome to Whippletree! This is our sixth-generation family farm, and while it's more of a hobby farm now, it has been in continuous agricultural production since 1869! We consider this our sanctuary and enjoy sharing it with others looking for a place of retreat to connect with the natural world. The space Your space is the full upper level of the original farmhouse with two comfortable bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, a nice living room and dining area. One bedroom has a queen and one has two single beds. This space is rented to a maximum of two (2) people, even though there are more beds than that. There is a desk in each of the bedrooms. There is a flight of stairs to get to this upper unit. Being built in 1900, it's got some rough edges here and there, though it is clean and comfortable, and has all the basic necessities you'll need for your stay. There is a kitchen with a smaller apartment-style oven, a long with a microwave and coffee maker. We supply two days worth of coffee. The apartment has a large TV, a bluetooth speaker and good wifi. During the summer months, we have portable fans and a window AC unit in the main bedroom. There is no central air. You'll have access to the nature trails on this farm property and can visit our goats and chickens. The farm often has some level of activity going on and you will see other people (the lower unit is also rented out; it is listed on this platform as "The Fox Den." We live on the property in a separate residence. Guest access You have exclusive access to the upper unit, which is accessed by the green door on the side of the house. Just follow the signage. You also have access to the nature trails on the property. The lower unit is rentable and may be occupied. Other things to note We do supply two days worth of tea and coffee. We also offer camping accommodations through another platform. The lower unit of this farmhouse is also rented out.
