The “Almost Studio” is equipped with what you need at this quiet, centrally-located place. * A separate entrance on the back of the house * Queen sized bed * kitchenette with microwave, air fryer, crockpot, water kettle, dishes, tableware, sink. (There’s no stove/so the name “Almost Studio”) * A refrigerator * a small dining table * a living room with a sofa and a 50 inch TV * A private full bathroom The shared laundry is accessible through double doors that separate the house from the Studio The space We are located 6 blocks form the Regional Rail station at Morton. We are a 35 minute train ride to Center City Philadelphia. The Philadelphia area is a Medical and University Hub. For this reason, we have heavily catered to medical personnel; doctors on monthly rotations, Resident physicians, nurses placed at Crozer-Chester Medical Center (short driving distance), Mercy-Fitz Hospital (15 minute drive), Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (rail stop), Temple University Hospital (connected to our Rail line), Children's Hospital (CHOP). We are also close to Colleges and Universities and we host many parents visiting their sons and daughters at Swarthmore (one mile on foot) and Penn. Guest access The Studio, listed March '24, is an fully private efficiency unit with a kitchenette (no cooking stove). Street parking ONLY, either in the VERY front of the house or on THE SIDE OF THE PARK. Please do not park in front of other houses. The Park is just 40 feet away. • The Studio offers a refrigerator-freezer, microwave, air fryer with toaster-broiler +, a 5-cup electric drip coffee maker, an electric kettle, dishes, tableware, cups, glasses. • It has a comfortable queen size bed, linens, towels. • A sofa and 50 inch TV with Netflix, Hulu and Prime loaded, and accessible through a Roku stick. • Full bathroom with shower and amenities. The Studio connects to the main house through a set of double doors that house a stackable LG washer-dryer sandwiched between the two doors. This means that we PRIVATELY share the laundry facilities, since the space fits just one of us. Use it when you need it. The house dwellers will use it when you are out or in between guests. Ask away if you have questions. We just listed, so we may have missed something that we forgot to mention or that we have to still get. Other things to note Trash days are Monday and Thursday. Drop your trash any day of the week on the bins located on the side of the house, by the FRONT deck. Monday: rubbish only using the DARK container. This container goes on the curb on Sunday night. We are early in the collection route, at around 7:45AM. Thursday's collection has rubbish and recyclables. Tall yellow bin is for glass, metal and plastic Low yellow container is for paper. Please flatten boxes. Again, containers go on the curb on Wednesday night.
