On calm days, the harbor water looks like a serene lake. The 2nd bedroom is a studio bedroom in the detached cabin which sits about 20' from the main house, connected by a covered walkway. The cabin has been thoughtfully updated with fresh design elements, while striving to maintain it's unique charecter. The cabin has a good sized kitchenette and a private bathroom. Note that the lawn is not watered to conserve water and prevent bank erosion, so it may turn yellow in mid-July and green again in late September. Come and enjoy this peaceful retreat, where you can relax, connect, and explore the wonders of Whidbey Island Please feel free to message us if you have any questions. Guest access Guests will have the entire house and property to themselves. The stairs to the beach are shared with one other home to the south. The detached cabin sits about 20' from the house and has a covered walkway connecting the two structures. We recommend younger children do not sleep in the cabin unaccompanied because of the proximity to the Bluff drop off. Other things to note The property has a 55 foot bluff down to the beach that is about 200 feet in front of the house. It is buffered by about 10-15' of vegetation that we let grow about knee high to discourage getting too close, but there is no guard rail or fence. The main house sleeps 2 in the primary bedroom's king bed. Additionally there is a queen pull out sofa in the living room. The detached cabin sleeps an additional 2 in the queen bed, however we recommended not let younger children sleep in the cabin without an adult because of the nearby bluff drop off. The main house bathroom is an en suite to the bedroom which means guests in the main house would need to enter the bedroom door to use it. The detached cabin has a covered walkway connecting to the main house. It also has a woodstove fireplace, but it is currently out of order until the chimney can get cleaned. The property has security cameras on the exterior of the home only. Cameras record the driveway near the front door. The house has a Blackstone griddle on the covered patio. We recommend watching a few YouTube videos to get a little familiar with griddle cooking and cleaning.
