The village now offers a smaller community feeling, with two village pubs and the old station cafe serving food, a small village shop, chip shop and launderette, which should provide for most of your daily needs. The freshwater reservoirs of Llyn Cefni and Llyn Alaw offer an attractive circular walk and numerous country paths. Closeby is Mynydd Bodafon Mountain, a picturesque beauty spot to enjoy picnics and walks. Moelfre and Benllech are the nearest coastal villages on the east coast. Moelfre is a delightful fishing village, boasting little cottages, a picturesque pebbled beach, a working lifeboat station and two quality pubs and restaurants.
