There is a wide range of leisure activities, such as visiting temples, shrines, cafés and museums. **7 minutes' walk from station 600m** Nikko Mountain View - a large three bedroom two storey house - is located in a quiet residential street opposite a public park, 7 min walk from Tobu Nikko station. Nikko's famous shrines are less than 15 min on foot. The house boasts a large tatami mat room, a living room with a desk and TV, as well as a large kitchen-diner with a washer dryer. The Three bedrooms and living spaces are exceptionally bright with beautiful mountain views.There is free parking for three cars outside the house. house size 99 m2 bed room sizes 9m2 ,12m2 and 15m2 . On the right of the entrance is a spacious 8-mat Japanese-style room (with three futon sets). Next to that is a small living room with a small sofa, desk, ,Audio playback with CD and Bluetooth and a bean bag as well as a few extra chairs. The space is ideal to watch TV. Under the TV a chest of drawers has plates, bowls, cups, glasses and cutlery. The living room gives onto a kitchen diner that has an eight person dining table, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster ,electric cooker and rice cooker(big size & small size) as well as a large washer/dryer. On the same floor is a toilet with washlet on the left, and at the back the large bathroom housing a sink with amenities and a bath with a large tub. Upstairs, on the first floor, there are three bedrooms (one with 2 double beds and two with 2 semi-double beds each). The house sleeps 9 large adults and two children if they sleep with their parents. All rooms are bright and south-facing. **We installed a new mattress pad to make the bed more comfortable.** Nikko is first and foremost associated with the World Heritage Site Toshogu, with its magnificent shrines, just 15 mins walk from the house. aside from the temples and shrines, Nikko offers a beautiful botanic garden and the summer palace of the emperor has been transformed into an amazing museum. The area around Oku-Nikko and Chuzenji - easily accessible by public bus - is also known as a summer retreat for foreign dignitaries, a sacred place for hiking and fly-fishing, hot springs, and for its delicious water, yuba cuisine, shaved ice and mizuyokan. The area attracts large numbers of visitors who enjoy the mountain scenery during the season of fresh green and autumn leaves, but snowy landscapes and winter sports can also be enjoyed in the off-season from November onwards. Snowshoeing has recently become popular in Oku-Nikko. A wide range of snow hiking programmes are offered. In addition, since April 2017, the steam locomotive SL Taiki has been running from Shimo-Imaichi Station to Kinugawa Onsen Station, only one stop away from Tobu Nikko station. Not only can you see the steam locomotive running in front of you, with smoke billowing out of it, but you can also actually ride on it. Other activities along the Kinugawa Line include the creation of flower gardens, the renovation and maintenance of Showa-era retro facilities, and the improvement of the landscape of satoyama and mountain streams. (From JR Nikko Station or Tobu Nikko Station) From National Route 119, turn right onto Prefectural Route 169→turn left at the Nikko Police Station before the Kirifuri Bridge→go along the road for 500 m→you will see the building on your left (Inari-cho Disaster Prevention Park is on your right).
