This 4 bedroom, quiet and cozy home right on the water is perfect for the off season get away or extended stay to "work from home". It can accommodate the crew for a quick fishing trip, provide a break from the fast-paced city grind, or just a cozy weekend surrounded by nature. We are all about relaxing and making memories at your own pace. So, if you’re looking for somewhere easygoing to hit “reset” for the weekend, this is it. It's comfortable, spacious and this time of year..cheap! The space The home features 4 bedrooms, each thoughtfully appointed with comfortable bedding and ample storage for longer stays. Wake up to the sight of the Piankatank River from the comfort of your own bed (blackout shades also provided if you want the opposite). 2.5 bathrooms offer convenience and comfort, with updated fixtures and plenty of space to unwind after a days work or adventures out 'n about on the water or around town. Step outside onto the expansive deck overlooking the water, where you can savor your morning coffee or dine al fresco while listening to peaceful water hit the shoreline. The private dock brings you closer to the action and is a great place to take in the tranquility. In the evening, gather around the fire pit we provide, sit in various spaces on the patio or deck, grill out or chill inside on the very comfortable sectional watching the Smart TV and hanging with your friends or family. The master suite is on the second floor, complete with a king bed, Apple TV, and balcony with great river views. Two other bedroom have queen beds, the bottom floor queen complete with another TV (Roku) and access to the patio from the room via sliding doors. Finally, we offer 3rd floor accommodations as well, great for kids or extra sleeping, complete with two single beds and a half bath. The kitchen is fully stocked, so coming with the intention to cook your own meals will work perfectly, we've got all the things a normal home kitchen would have. All appliances are brand new, stainless steel and have ample space for storage for holiday or extended stays. The kitchen table is also new within the year and can seat as many as 8. One of our more unique offerings from other local short term rentals is our back shed. Don't like it when owner's lock up all the fun stuff for a stay by the river? That is not the case with us. We keep that shed accessible to all guests and offer a wide arrange of add-ons, including floats, kayaks, extra refrigerators for tasty beverages, deck furniture pillows, umbrellas, cornhole boards and so some more odds and ends you may need. Parking : no an issue, plenty of space in the square and spacious gravel driveway off the road and in front of our house Boats : bring it, although we do not have a boat ramp to directly access the water, you can park your boat at the house until it's time to head down to the marina. Once in water, you can driver over and keep it at our dock (please always check water level). No lift access for now. We've got to get our boats off them at some point to allow access to our guests. For now, they are in use and not available (sorry!) Fishing : off the dock or take your own private boat out at night to fish the waters of the Piantatank, Fishing Bay, Hills Bay, Rappahannock or out in the mighty Chesapeake. Crabbing : we've got crab pots! Available to keep out by the dock and see what you can bring in Parties : don't go ballistic with outdoor music, we have neighbors, but we aren't opposed to a good time either. A few other guests other than who is staying at the property isn't going to bother us. We are down to earth and rational hosts, so if you need guidance on that, just ask. Dogs : contact us about dogs. We love dogs, and understand they are a part of many families, but want to give a few heads up about that neighborhood situation Safety : both exterior access doors have the ability to be alarmed; so, if you are worried about small children around water, that offering is available. It's a simple on/off switch Guest access Entry is a SmartLock at the front door. Unique code sent with check-in instructions.
