Less than 40 miles from the country's main airport, but quickly immersing you with sunshine, space & beauty at Villa Alas Azules for up to 31 guests. Perfect for studying & working, in a gorgeous, picture-perfect hidden valley, this spectacular home is outfitted on 9 acres, basketball court, koi pond, gazebo with authentic, wood-fired pizza oven, hiking trail, hammocks. Super fast wifi. During Easter, New Years or Christmas, there is a 1 week min stay & a $350 sur charge for high season. The space This Orosi Valley estate (not in the town of Orosi) is ideal for large families needing plenty of social distancing space and loads of sunshine, or for girlfriend getaways, company retreats, etc... This is a very spacious estate with lots of privacy. While this listing doesn't allow us a "drop down" option for this, several of the bunk beds are "triples" meaning there are 3 beds instead of 2, all of which have privacy curtains similar to a train 'berth'. The property can accommodate 31 guests on their own beds, making it ideal for large groups, families, girlfriend getaways, etc. The bunk beds are unusual in that they have curtains around them (as in train travel), with shelves, staircases, etc. Super fast broadband wifi 200MB fiber optic Small stores are less than a mile, larger grocery stores are located about 15 minutes away in Paraiso, while mega style stores like Walmart are located about 20 minutes away in Cartago, which you pass on the way from the airport to the property. When not rented, our manager and owners spend a lot of time here, so this property is definitely "lived in," and will NOT feel like a brand new hotel. There is a $350 sur charge and one week minimum during high season around Christmas, New Years and Easter. Guest access There is TV with a DVD player, and hook up for iPod stereo music. Local Costa Rican art is on display throughout the home and within the gardens. Note the hand carved columns at the gazebo, the benches, the stone carvings, etc. The home is handsomely and solidly built with hardwoods, glass brick, tile, concrete and stucco. The blue exterior paint on the lower portion of the house is one of the famous traditional ways of building a Costa Rican homes. Other things to note The caretaker has a small white dog, sometimes you may see its fur on the cushions of outdoor patio furniture. The home acquired its name for 3 reasons: the lower blue on its exterior walls, the two blue feathered peacocks that lived on the property for decades before going to heaven (Fred and Mathilda) (which some say is Costa Rica!), and the spectacular Blue Morpho butterflies fluttering into view on any given day. The rate is $110 per night (2 people); $21 per night for each additional person. 3 Night Minimum. No unpaid guests or visitors. All guests and visitors are logged at entrance gates to the property. Pets $25 per pet per stay. . $35 access to laundry room for your stay, otherwise its locked.
