The space Our tree lined Country Retreat is located on 2.5 acres of mature and new fruit trees, home to a 100 year old oak tree, a pond, entertainment patios, succulent gardens, tree swings, a fire-pit, and a chicken coop. We are surrounded by 3 horse properties. In addition to our friendly dogs and cooped chickens you may see rabbits, squirrels, frogs, and several variety of birds including humming birds, hawks, woodpeckers, and crows. Upon your arrival your host will meet you at the gate, show you the designated parking, and give you a tour to acquaint you with our property. We will be in and out of the property and you can choose how much you’d like to interact with us when you’re here. The bottom level “street access” where your room is located includes one other guest room, and a shared full bathroom, laundry room, and family room with a smart TV. There are board games, a movie library, books, and chess. This family room is semi private to you and our other guests during your stay. Your room includes a shaded, outdoor patio with seating, a smart TV, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker with coffee & tea. For longer stays use of our kitchen for simple cooking is available as well. All guests are permitted to dine outside at one of our outside patios, and fully enjoy our outdoor spaces. If you’d like a fire in the fire pit upon your stay please let us know prior to your arrival and stay with the fire until it is complete as we are in a high fire zone. Our Country Retreat in Ramona, CA gives you country star gazing, peace away from the buzz of the city. Enjoy a slow, quiet morning sipping tea and listening to the birds or end your evening, enjoying the cool air watching the sunset while sipping on a cocktail. Ramona is home to more than 30 wineries, World Class Golfing, Internationally famous equestrian centers, spectacular wedding venues, and some of San Diego’s most popular hiking trails. We are 15 minutes away from The Safari Park, 45 minutes away from beaches, The San Diego International Airport, Legoland, SeaWorld, The San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Museums, Theatre, and more. Fall is a popular time to stay in Ramona as we are close to the charming mountain town of Julian where you can pick apples, dine, and drink hot apple cider while perusing the shops of a quaint little town started in the Gold Mining Era. Lastly, there is a manuel in your room for local recommendations and pertinent information to make your stay more enjoyable. Do not let them out of the gate. They are trained to stay inside so long as you’re careful about closing the gate should you enter and exit the property frequently. We have chickens onsite in their coop. Please do not enter the coop. If you’d like to collect eggs or interact with one of our ornamental chickens, please let us know when you book your stay so we can schedule accordingly.
