La Isabela Suites is a Boutique apart-hotel built on the concept of space, elegance and comfort. Because we understand that the true luxury means not having to worry about anything. The space Our apartment is a spacious 120 sqm (1200 sq. ft.) with high ceilings (14ft/4.5m). It offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room and full kitchen. The four sets of French doors leading to the balcony and courtyard bath the apartment in light during the day. For your comfort, we provide luxury memory foam mattresses, Egyptian cotton sheets and a pillow menu. For your health, our toiletries are organic and are alcohol and paraben free. The apartment is air conditioned, has high speed WiFi, large flat screen TV, Nespresso espresso maker, Ipod ready alarm/music player and a smartphone for local use. The apartment is a first floor apartment. It has a large front balcony on the street and offers access to a 1300 sq ft (130 sqm) internal courtyard with lounge chairs and outdoor Balinese showers for outdoor dining or simple relaxation. One of the world’s leading restoration architects, Francisco Montanes, and a cutting edge Spanish design group, Bersale, S.A., worked together for almost two years to restore La Isabela to its former elegance. Their vision was to adhere to UNESCO’s World Heritage Site Guidelines and maintain the 19th century elements of La Isabela’s colonial architecture while incorporating touches of cutting edge design. To complement their efforts, selected pieces of Panamanian art are exhibited throughout the building and the apartment. Guest access The apartment has a large front balcony on the street and offers access to a 1300 sq ft (130 sqm) internal courtyard with outdoor Balinese showers so you can cool off and lounge chairs for relaxation and outdoor dining. There is also a reception office on the ground floor where there is a concierge to assist you. There is high speed WiFi there as well as in the apartment. Other things to note Cleaning and Health standards: We will always try to accommodate you before check-in time at no extra cost. However, please consider that our standard cleaning procedures are strict before your check in. That includes, removal of mattresses anti-allergenic covers, deep steam cleaning and Germ-reducing UV-C technology to kills viruses and bacteria. The apartment wet areas (bathrooms and kitchen) are built in micro-cement resistant to molds and allergens, without the need to use harsh chemicals in the cleaning process. Our steam and UV-C two-stage micro-allergy filtration cleaning procedures eliminate up to 99% H1N1 and MRSA on hard surfaces, mattresses, and upholstery, kill bed bug eggs, flea eggs and dust mite eggs, and sanitize surface without pollutant and damaging irritants or residues. When possible we only use hypo-allergenic and bio-degradable cleaning products. La Isabela follows a strict protocol for fumigation with human-degree products.
