Casa Viva 2 is a new and unique "container" cabin to share with your friends, family and loved ones. It is located in Bahia Ballena ("Whale Bay") on the South Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Surrounded by vast nature, you will enjoy the sounds of the brilliantly colored macaws and toucans, watch monkeys swing from branch to branch, and you may even spy a sloth in the trees, all while immersed in the tropical green lushness of the jungle and only a few steps from the beach. The space Located right next to the the beach, your days and nights will be filled by the sound of birds singing as well as waves crashing along the coast. The easy stroll to the beach is only 150 meters (roughly 1 block). During migratory times of the year (August through mid-November & January through March), Casa Viva 2 is ideally located for whale-watching excursion and borders the Marino/Bahia Ballena National Park. Casa Viva 2 offers a craftsman approach to the novelty of the container concept, providing a bright and cozy bedroom with an artistic pallet bed frame, a waterfall outside your window (which is turned off at night), and a semi-private deck where you can sit and sip your coffee. Sliding glass doors to your patio give you a sense of being a part of nature. And careful attention has been taken to not only ensure comfort, simplicity, and functionality - but also affordability. Casa Viva 2A and 2B offer a spacious bedroom, large bathroom with storage for your personal belongings, and a patio that connects you to the shared kitchenette. Your bedroom is equipped with a wall-mounted cable TV, air-conditioning unit, and has a double mattress to accommodate 2 people. The large bathroom has hot water and shower, and is equipped with soap, tissue paper and towels. Your patio offers 2 chairs and a small table. You have 24-hour access to the kitchenette which offers a table for 4 ppl and is equipped with appliances, such as: microwave, blender, rice cooker, refrigerator, stove, coffee pot (incl. coffee + sugar), plates, glasses/mugs, and cooking pots, pans and utensils. We also offer laundry (washer & dryer) onsite for an additional cost. Casa Viva 2 is located approximately half a mile from the highway, has private parking, and is easily accessible without requiring a 4x4 vehicle. The owner speaks Spanish and English. Nearby attractions include: Whale-watching tours, Whale Tail Beach, the "Moses Path", Marino/Bahia Ballena National Park, the Uvita waterfall, the Caves at Ventanas Beach, Manuel Antonio National Park (1 hr drive), Osa Peninsula (Corcovado National Park & Piedras Blancas National Park) and Drake Bay (2 hr drive), and a myriad of lookouts. If you visit during February, you might even catch the Envision Festival!
