Renovated 19th century farmhouse in the heart of the hills
19th century independent farmhouse, built at the foot of a hill in the heart of the family farm (apricots, chestnuts) 3km from the village and 10 minutes from the A7 at Tain l'Hermitage. Our house consists of a renovated living area of 120m2 spread over 2 levels, a large outdoor courtyard, a magnificent covered courtyard built of pebbles from the Rhône, old stables (without horses), rabbit huts (without rabbits) , stables (without pigs) and a balm (cellar cut in the rock). The habitable part of the house was completely renovated in 2009 in a style combining contemporary and rustic, in order to make it functional and comfortable while preserving its character. The thickness of the walls of our house guarantees good insulation against the cold in winter and allows appreciable natural air conditioning during the hot summer months. On the ground floor, the large sunny kitchen is perfectly equipped and tastefully decorated, it is the living room of the house, suitable both for romantic meals and for convivial moments with family or friends. It also lends itself wonderfully well to the joint preparation of meals since the work plan is central and open to the rest of the room. The kitchen is separated from the living room by a large industrial style glass roof and overlooks a courtyard where you can enjoy the furniture to relax in complete tranquility on deckchairs, prepare barbecues, play ping pong or simply listen to the birds while enjoying the many details that swarm in this atypical place. Also on the ground floor, toilets and a laundry room equipped with a washing machine for your laundry are at your disposal. Upstairs, an open space serving as an office will allow you, if necessary, to work comfortably with a view of the surrounding hills. Also upstairs are the bathroom, separate toilet and the two bedrooms. The wall decoration in travertines as well as the quality of the equipment (Italian shower + bath) in the bathroom will allow you to appreciate the comfort of a good toilet. Towels are provided. The two bedrooms each have a double bed (new bedding and quality bed linen) as well as storage (wardrobe / chest of drawers). They each offer a view of the surrounding countryside. In terms of cleanliness, we make it a point of honor that the house is impeccable on your arrival. It is difficult to imagine that our house is only 10 minutes from the A7 motorway and 15 minutes by car from the Valence TGV station, a station which allows you to reach Lyon in just 30 minutes, Marseille in 1 hour and Paris in 2 hours. Nautical activities in Ardèche, skiing or hiking in the Vercors or even swimming in the river in the Drôme Provençale are possible activities to do during the day from our house. If necessary, we will be available at any time by phone. On the other hand, My parents as well as my brother (discreet) live nearby and will know how to make themselves available if necessary. Finally, you will also come across Devinette, the nice dog of the domain, who as a good free dog, spends her time outside between the 3 houses (outside only). Even if her size can impress, know that she is adorable and that there is absolutely nothing to fear from her. However, as with any animal, we recommend that parents never leave a child with an animal alone without the presence of an adult. If you want Devinette not to enter the yard, don't worry, we recommend that you close the gate.
