Perhaps you saw our cottage in "Des Racines & des Ailes", the film "Terre de Languedoc" of Wednesday September 9, 2015 (France 3)? This superb gite in Hérault (34), pure eco-wood / natural insulation stone restoration is located within the CIRQUE DE NAVACELLES (recently integrated into the UNESCO world heritage), in the Vis gorges. This site is highly protected by the buildings of France, it is an absolutely unique place. The cottage has approximately 100m2 of surface. The house is south facing, 100m from the 1st category trout river (superb river for swimming, but fresh!). Large garden. 1 hour from the sea, the nearby Camargue, the large markets in Vigan and Ganges, Mt Aigoual (porcini mushrooms in autumn!), Montpellier less than 1 hour away, close to the Tarn gorges, the wine estates (Montpeyroux, Faugères), ... the list of things to do is endless! The cottage occupies two floors in the upper part of our old house. Coming back from the bottom of the lane, you have a patio with a slate floor of the time, then on the left there is a large kitchen and the bathroom (which it is above the medieval communal bread oven) . Above the entrance there is a beautiful bedroom with toilet and sink (140cm bed). Still above, on a mezzanine (open, but not with a view of the bed below) there are two beds with a view of the circus. On the ground floor, by crossing a separation door you enter a large room (approximately 50m2), loft style. You will find a large solid wood table, and on the other side opposite a double bed (160cm wide), as well as a sofa bed (for children). The garden is below the house, and is accessed by going around the house. These are two old terraces with dry stone walls (1000m2). A staircase takes you to a slate terrace, where you can rest while having an aperitif under an old mulberry tree. The river is 100m away, and it's just great! The screw gorges have a rare biodiversity, there are golden eagles, griffon vultures, orchids, ... The whole gite is renovated in eco-construction, limestone, the floors are in larch and pine. The entire installation (electric and water) is new, the cottage is freshly restored. The roofs are insulated with hemp, the thickness of the roof ensures that even in the height of summer it is good in the house. The kitchen is fully equipped (professional piano, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave). In the living room is a large TNTSAT satellite TV (so Astra and all TNT channels, most in HD), as well as a BluRay player. We have put all our heart into the careful restoration of this millennial building, we hope that you know how to appreciate the effort and that you bring the same care as us ... :-)). We rent this cottage for holiday stays of 5 nights minimum, preferably from Saturday to Saturday. You will have to bring your own sheets and blankets, we will provide you with the list. We reserve the right to occupy a room on a lower floor of the house (accessible by another entrance and not communicating with the rented part), as well as the right to access the garden
