Spend your vacation time on the Southern Gulf Islands and enjoy BC’s incredible coastline. You can get to Pender Island via BC Ferries, float plane, water taxi or private boat and the resort is within easy walking distance of the ferry terminal at Otter Bay or a short taxi ride from Washington Pier’s float plane dock. Pender Island is home to about 2,250 permanent residents, as well as a large seasonal population. Like most of the Southern Gulf Islands, Pender enjoys a Mediterranean climate with lots of sunshine and you will love the open farmland, rolling hills and lakes. The cottage can sleep six comfortably - master bedroom loft with queen bed - two single beds in a separate bedroom - pull-out couch in the living area. The upstairs bathroom includes a full bath and shower with a toilet and sink available in a 2nd bathroom on the ground floor. An in- unit washer and dryer is also available for your convenience. The fully equipped kitchen features an oven, microwave and stove top. All pots, pans, cutlery, cups, mugs and glasses are provided. The living area has a gas fireplace, a flat-screen TV with DVD and high speed internet access. The large deck, facing west over the ocean, offers great sunsets and fabulous views year round. There is also a gas BBQ with lounge chairs and an outdoor dining area. Parking for one vehicle is provided outside the front door to the cottage. Additional parking is available on site. A general store is located on the property (seasonal) and the nearby Driftwood Shopping Centre offers groceries, gas, gifts, books, liquor or other necessities. The seasonal Farmers Market is always worth a visit too! There are 2 heated pools (one for adults only and seasonal) as well as a marina. The marina general store offers scooter, kayak, canoe and paddle board rentals along with a small bistro. There are a several great pubs and restaurants on the island. There is 9-hole golf course nearby, numerous hiking options, great beaches to explore and disc golf is a fun activity to try as well. There is an abundance of wildlife including eagles, otters, seals and deer while whale sightings from the resort are common.
