Relax under the walnut tree,
In the heart of France, on the south-western flank of the Central Massif, where the climate is mild and influenced by the Atlantic and sheltered from the northern cold, is the department of Corrèze. Perfectly situated between the Auvergne the Lot and the Dordogne it is green, rural and rather sparsely populated, at the same time however by the highways easily accessible. In this region, the Romans had already left their mark on the vineyards. In the middle of the Middle Ages, the British fought against the French king, and throughout all this time the pilgrims crossed the Way of St. James to Santiago in the distant Spain. From all epochs, there are still preserved buildings and allow for remarkable visits. The neighboring Dordogne is also called the land of a thousand castles and palaces. Less than 15 kilometers from the beautiful cities of Tulle and Brive la Gaillarde, the holiday house is located on a hill with a good view in a barely cultivated valley. The spacious holiday house pavilion was previously planned as a kind of workshop and separate adjoining building of a larger dwelling house, it was recently converted into a holiday flat and is state-of-the-art. The owner, a retired teacher from Germany, is discreet and inconspicuous in the main house and takes care of all technical details. The holiday house consists of a spacious kitchen with gas stove and dishwasher, a 'salon' with TV, separated by a sliding door, the bedroom with 160 cm wide bed and a small but modern bathroom. Everything is air-conditioned and heatable as required. From an east-facing terrace, a beautiful view over the valley, a large park of 6000 square meters offers some nice places for sitting or lying, sometimes in the sun in the shade of large trees. The motorway, with a good connection to Bordeaux (2 hours), Toulouse (2 hours) or Clermond-Ferrand (1.5 hours) is hardly 10 km away, at night it is wonderfully stereotypical, dark and quiet Air and enjoys the unfamiliar retreat of a village spot. In close proximity there is a fishing lake, which is easy walking around an hour, a bit further away a never overrun bathing lake with beautifully clean water and sandy beach. The town of Argentat on the Dordorgne is not far, just as easy to reach are Perigueux, Aurillac, Souillac, Terrasson, all of them charming cities with special charm and sufficient shopping. A child up to the age of 5 years we also bring under, free of course, appropriate furniture is available.
