Dinner can be provided on the night of arrival, prepared by a local chef, if prearranged with the owner. The route along the Lot River is considered the most beautiful 100 km in France and the Medieval village of St Cirq Lapopie is listed as one of the most beautiful in France (actually voted #1 by travelers recently). Though small, it is home to several excellent restaurants, numerous charming shops and galleries, and many artists. It is also a wonderful base from which to explore the region. One of the most exquisite caves containing prehistoric art is just 10 minutes away. The area is ideal for wine tasting, hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, visiting chateaus, shopping at local markets and brocantes, or just relaxing.
