Located on the North Shore of Maui, Ho'okipa Farm is nestled in a small neighborhood just minutes away from Ho'okipa Beach Park. Nearby Haiku town and Paia town, we boast a central location. Enjoy fresh fruit, ocean views, and spacious living quarters after a day of adventures. This 3 bedroom is uniquely set on a small working farm with chickens and a large variety of produce. Your host lives on-site in the owner's cottage and will be around to share her local knowledge whenever needed! The space Built by the owners family, this large 3 bedroom has plenty of space for 3 couples or a family. The bed options are: a king in the master bedroom, queen in one of the guest bedrooms and two twins in the last. The master bathroom has a two person shower and the guest bath has a tub shower combo, with the half bath located in the living room. The home offers a well established kitchen and large living space with two additional 'recreation' rooms that can be used as reading spaces or an office. Set on 2 acres of land, there is plenty of outdoor space and a large deck at the front. Enjoy an early evening BBQ while watching the sunset. Your host would be more than happy to show you around the farm and introduce you to the chickens upon request. (Please note: farm animals, should not be approached without permission) Guest access Guests have access to the private shared front yard and we would be more than happy to share our seasonal fruits and produce. There is onsite parking for a maximum of 2 guest vehicles. Other things to note Maui Wildfires: By now, almost everyone in the world is aware that on August 8th, Maui experienced a series of wildfires that were fueled by strong wind and downed power lines. We can’t say enough good things about the first responders that have worked tirelessly since then to keep our community safe and connected. Unfortunately, the town of Lahaina was lost in the effort and many homes in Kula have also been affected. Our homes, our staff, and the vendors we work with are all well and safe. We have been working nonstop to aid those we can and we are happy to share details of where you can help as guests of our island too. Currently, the vacant hotels and condos from Kaanapali to Kapalua are being used to house residents that lost their homes and relief workers. For travel to Maui, both our governor and mayor have been encouraging guests to visit all areas other than the west side (Lahaina and Kaanapali to Kapalua). For the south side (Kihei/Wailea), upcountry, and the north shore, visitors can support the local small businesses, accommodations, and employees in these areas which will help us continue to keep our island and our community aided as they begin to rebuild. Please contact me prior to booking. Our calendar currently only allows bookings 9 months in advance, if you would like to book more than 9 months in advance please send us an inquiry request with your dates and we would be happy to review the request for you. ** Please note that to address Maui County rules and regulations, all taxes confirmed in the booking total are based on Maui County and Hawaii State tax requirements. Upon arrival, no other charges will be required as taxes, cleaning, and service fees are included in your final Airbnb price. (Only potential damage costs are excluded). ***A signed copy of our rental agreement is required to complete and confirm a booking. We can email a copy to you following initial booking inquiries. ****There is a 7-Night minimum for all bookings. Mid-stay cleaning is not included in the final price, the house is cleaned prior to your arrival and the cleaning fee applies to post-departure cleaning. We pay our cleaners a fair and liveable wage and the cleaning fee is calculated based on this rate. Any excessive cleaning upon departure or mid-stay cleaning can be requested and will be charged in addition to the initial cleaning fees. Please also note that Maui has a temperate climate. Although most days we have a lovely cool breeze, on the warmer days it is best to keep the curtains closed and fans on. Air conditioning is not provided. To adhere to our county permit restrictions upon booking you agree to the following: Absolutely no visitors are allowed on the property. Only the (max 6) registered guests are allowed in the dwelling. No exceptions. We apologize for this term, however, if you want to have family and friends visit you during your vacation, please book somewhere else or organize to meet them off-site.
