Modern and spacious home located in a rural area of southern Maine. The capacity of the house is 6 total. With a private deck and hot tub, a short drive to public boat launch and beach and xc skiing/snowshoeing/ and snowmobiling nearby in the winter, this is a great year round destination! With a modern. fully equipped kitchen connecting to an open floor plan living and dining room, lots of windows to the wooded outside it's a relaxing and easy place to spend time! The space The house is located 1/2 mile down a well maintained dirt road on a wooded lot with very few neighbors. Long Pond is also well known for bass fishing in the summer as well as being stocked with trout. In the winter you'll see ice fisherman in the pond. Also located nearby (about a five minute drive) is a sandy public beach perfect for swimming children! The hot tub on the deck is open year round (nothing is better than a day of skiing then a private hot tub on the deck in the snow after!) In the summer, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and hiking can be found nearby. In the winter skiing, snowmobile trails, and snowshoeing are all readily accessible! People come to the area to enjoy the peace and solitude of the surrounding hills. We asks that you consider this before booking. Please no loud music during the day and especially after dark. Guest access Guests have access to the majority of the house with just a couple of small areas closed off to store our families items. Other things to note This is a rural area surrounded by other vacation homes. People go to the area to enjoy the peace and tranquility. We do asks that guests respect those around them and not play loud music or disturb the neighbors in any other way. Please, no outdoor music after dark so as to allow others to enjoy the peace of the hills around them! If your looking for a place to drink and party go elsewhere. In the winter the hills on the road to the house can be diffcult right after heavy snow, we plow and sand as best as possible, but it's rural maine in the winter. Snow tires are highly recommended during snow season
