Downstairs ceilings are high, and doorways are wide as in previous times it was used for stabling horses! The Red Barn has a really well equipped open plan social kitchen, and is furnished in a comfortable and stylish manner. The inside and outside dining tables both seat 10, and the Red Barn works very well for 3 generational get togethers, couples and families. It is a tranquil special place all year round, and the woodburning stove (logs provided) is a lovely focal point to enjoy chatting and catching up. In summer or winter the hot tub is a great addition, and every morning we test, clean and reset the fire so it is ready for you to enjoy throughout your stay. It is easy to feel close to nature with red kites often circling overhead, owls, pheasants on the lawns, and we even get occasional visits from muntjac deer. Downstairs there is an accessible king size bedroom with a shower room next door. Upstairs there are 2 king size bedrooms, both with ensuite shower rooms, and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower over. Off this room is a mezzanine with ladder access suitable for children over the age of 8 with two single beds. All the bedrooms are spacious and fairly equally sized so no one gets the short straw! There are games and DVDs, 2 Smart TVs and an upstairs lounge with a wi-fi booster and desk if you need to catch up with the office. "We have just returned from a family celebration and could not have chosen a more beautiful place. A historic barn, sympathetically restored with exquisite details. Cosy and comfortable throughout and so very welcoming. Ginny and Adrian are the most delightful hosts, nothing but nothing is too much trouble and it was interesting to hear about the restoration. The location is idyllic, surrounded by trees and birdsong makes for a wonderfully tranquil environment. I can not recommend a stay at The Red Barn enough, you will not be disappointed. Please note that there is a shared drive that runs to the front of the Red Barn. Please note we accept two well behaved dog, downstairs only. The garden is not secure but great walks from the front door.
