From the house you can walk to Urnes Stave Church, one of the oldest stave churches in Norway and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the many hiking trails in the area you are sure to meet a deer or two. In the fjord, just below the house, there are good fishing opportunities. Our tip: Visit the idyllic Solvorn and Skjolden. Also recommended are day trips to the Jostedal Glacier and Breheimen National Park.
