Located just 4 miles from Uptown Columbus, 11 miles from Fort Moore, 9 miles from I 185, and only 2 blocks from the local coffee shop, this charming older home is nestled in a peaceful residential neighborhood. It is the perfect temporary spot for you until you find permanent housing. Rest comfortably on a queen-sized pillow-top bed in your own private room in this cozy, shared 1960s home. The space This private room has a beautiful queen sized bed just for you. There is also a night stand, lamp, desk, shelves, full length mirror, clock, and a full closet in this private bedroom. This 1960s 4 bedroom 2 bath home is shared with other guests. It may not be fancy and new, but we love what we do and it shows in our care towards our guests. The kitchen has all the dishes and utensils you'd need to cook your own meals. Our exercise room has a home gym system, exercise bike, and weights. This all purpose room also has a desk for office space, a game shelf, brochures from the area, and a dining area. Both bathrooms have a fresh coat of paint. The blue bathroom still has the original, vintage cast iron tub. The back yard is mostly fenced in, has a fire pit, and an outdoor table and chairs. There are 3 outside lights in the front and 3 outside lights in the back of the house to make it easier to enjoy being in the beautiful outdoors. Extra blankets are located in the hall closet. Guest access You will have access to the whole home except for the other individual private bedrooms. The washer and dryer are located in the "International Hostel Room". There may be other guests there at times. Use of washer and dryer must be between 9 am and 9 pm so as to not disturb other guest's sleep. The extra blankets are located in the hall coset. During your stay If you need anything during your stay we will be pleased to assist you — morning, noon or night! We are just a phone call or text away. We only live 2 blocks away. We look forward to meeting you! Other things to note Phenix City goes by Eastern time, the same as Columbus, Fort Moore (Fort Benning), and Atlanta, GA. You may need to set your phone so it does not flip back and forth between Central and Eastern Times since we are right on the time zone border. We are not located in downtown but are minutes from downtown Phenix City. (This home has central heat and air even though the picture shows an old heater in the bedroom and an old AC unit in the wall of the living room.) There are 2 outdoor security cameras on this property, one on the front porch and one on the back porch. Some find the nostalgic interior of this home reminiscent of years gone by. Others enjoy seeing the random antiques and vintage items speckled throughout this home.
