You’ll love this guest cottage because of the views, the settings, the people, the location, and the ambiance. There are 2 studios on the property. All have their own entrance, terrace/yard, kitchen, bathroom - completely private. All have a full size bed and is good for solo adventurers, and business travelers. The house is built on a hill and there are too many stairs on each level of the terraces that it is not suitable for children or people with disability. The space This house was custom designed and built for us by the world famous architect, Christopher Alexander. It was featured on BBC - you can watch it on YouTube: How Buildings Learn - 3. It's beautiful, private, secluded and secure - better than a lot of vacation sites out there! Con: This is a country house on 3/4 acre of land with a creek going through. There are all kinds of wild animals (raccoons, red foxes, otters, skunks, opossums, deer, wild turkey, rats, snakes) appear on the property, especially after dark, and domestic animals (chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, turkey, cats). Dust and spider webs grow overnight - part of living in the wild. This place is not for you if you are a neat freak or if you are allergic to animals. Pro: You don't need to worry about other people's Cooties. I am a healthcare professional and extremely concerned about germs/diseases. I put 2 layers on all beddings so that body fluid won't go through easily. And I wash/disinfect all the layers, all the towels, and any other personal items that may have body fluid after each guest leaves. There is also 70% Alcohol and 3% peroxide spray bottles in the bathroom for you to use. This is a lot more than what is routinely done to a hospital room. Guest access The entire cottage, everything on it's terrace/yard, covered bridge/deck, and bikes parked outside of cottage yard. If you need to access to anything else, just ask me. I will do my best to accommodate you. Other things to note The space is for one person only. You can't bring any other person onto my property, even for a brief visit, unless you get my permission first. You must check in with your valid government issued photo ID, or you are not allowed to check in period.
